KKR & Co, MBK Partners and Brookfield Asset Management are among the potential acquirers of a minority stake in South Korean gas company AirFirst, which local PE firm IMM Private Equity is looking to sell for $1 billion, according to a report by Reuters. Unnamed Reuters sources have revealed that the Seoul-based investment firm is expecting to receive first-round, non-binding bids by 16 March. A number of private equity firms including Advent International and CVC Capital Partners are weighing up bids to acquire a minority stake in Deutsche Lufthansa AG’s aircraft maintenance and repair unit, according to a report by Bloomberg. Unnamed Bloomberg sources say that Lufthansa’s Technik business, which could be valued at more than €6 billion in any deal, has also attracted initial interest from Bain Capital and Blackstone Inc. Deliberations are said to be ongoing and there is no certainty any of the private equity firms will proceed with offers, although the sources say Lufthansa is expecting to receive non-binding bids

Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment management firm with more than $52 billion of assets under management, announced has opened a new office in Sydney, Australia, which will be managed by Shaun Thomas, newly appointed principal, investor relations, who joined the firm in November. Sydney is Adams Street’s first location in Australia and fifth in the Asia Pacific region, joining Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, and Beijing. Adams Street now operates 12 offices globally. HGGC, a middle-market private equity firm with over $6.9 billion of cumulative capital commitments, has promoted Colin Phinisey to Partner. Since joining HGGC in 2018 as a principal, Phinisey has led debt capital markets activities for all new and existing portfolio company investments, including acquisitions, recapitalisations, refinancings and capital structure management. Prior to HGGC, Phinisey spent eight years working for Deutsche Bank Securities where he began his career as a leveraged finance associate and worked his way up to being a leveraged finance director for the company.  Previously, he worked as a senior financial analyst at Wachovia Securities.  
Prysm Capital has promoted Lauren Moffatt to a partner of the firm, with immediate effect. Moffatt who has experience across various segments of the private equity value chain, has served as a principal at Prysm Capital since 2021. Prior to Prysm, Moffatt spent four years as a member of Audax Group’s Investor Relations team, focusing on fundraising, product development, marketing and operating strategy initiatives. Solenis, a manufacturer of specialty chemicals used in water-intensive industries, and a portfolio company of Platinum Equity since 2021, is to acquire hygiene, infection prevention and cleaning solutions provide Diversey, in an all-cash transaction valued at an enterprise value of approximately $4.6 billion. 
Charterhouse Capital Partners has sold its its portfolio company Tarsus Group, an international B2B events group, to Informa PLC in a deal with an enterprise value of $940 million, consisting of a combination of cash and shares.
The value of brand management firm WHP Global, whose holdings include Anne Klein, Joseph Abboud, Toys”R”Us, Lotto and a 60% interest in fashion apparel retailer Express Inc, has risen to $1.6 billion following a $375 million investment from the private equity unit of Ares Management Corporation, according to a report by Reuters.
An affiliate of alternative asset investment firm HIG Capital, has acquired Polygon, a Rome- and Milan-based provider of integrated healthcare maintenance services to hospitals in Italy and Spain.
