MentorcliQ, a provider of employee mentoring software, has secured a strategic growth investment of over $80 million from software and technology-focused growth equity investor PSG.
The new funding, which includes participation from existing investors Rev1 Ventures and Plymouth Growth, brings MentorcliQ’s total capital raised to over $100 million.
MentorcliQ supports enterprises globally in launching and maintaining employee mentoring programs aimed at strengthening the foundation of an organisation’s infrastructure – its employee base. The company’s says that clients see an improvement of up to 90% in employee retention for employees who are mentored.
Experience management software provider Qualtrics has confirmed it is to be acquired by a group of investors including Silver Lake and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board at a $12.5 billion valuation.
Silver Lake and its co-investors, together with CPP Investments, will acquire 100% of the outstanding shares Silver Lake does not already own, as reported last week, including the entirety of SAP’s majority ownership interest.

A number of private equity firms including Advent International and CVC Capital Partners are weighing up bids to acquire a minority stake in Deutsche Lufthansa AG’s aircraft maintenance and repair unit, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment management firm with more than $52 billion of assets under management, announced has opened a new office in Sydney, Australia, which will be managed by Shaun Thomas, newly appointed principal, investor relations, who joined the firm in November.
Sydney is Adams Street’s first location in Australia and fifth in the Asia Pacific region, joining Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, and Beijing. Adams Street now operates 12 offices globally.

HGGC, a middle-market private equity firm with over $6.9 billion of cumulative capital commitments, has promoted Colin Phinisey to Partner. Since joining HGGC in 2018 as a principal, Phinisey has led debt capital markets activities for all new and existing portfolio company investments, including acquisitions, recapitalisations, refinancings and capital structure management.
Prior to HGGC, Phinisey spent eight years working for Deutsche Bank Securities where he began his career as a leveraged finance associate and worked his way up to being a leveraged finance director for the company.
Previously, he worked as a senior financial analyst at Wachovia Securities.
Prysm Capital has promoted Lauren Moffatt to a partner of the firm, with immediate effect. Moffatt who has experience across various segments of the private equity value chain, has served as a principal at Prysm Capital since 2021.
Prior to Prysm, Moffatt spent four years as a member of Audax Group’s Investor Relations team, focusing on fundraising, product development, marketing and operating strategy initiatives. Earlier in her career, she spent a number of years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, HarbourVest Partners and Boston Consulting Group.
