KKR has partnered with Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), a global sovereign investor, to co-invest across performing private credit opportunities in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
The Partnership aims to deploy at least $1 billion of long-term capital, providing bespoke credit solutions to companies and sponsors. Mubadala will deploy its capital alongside KKR’s existing pools of capital, including the recently raised KKR Asia Credit Opportunities Fund, a $1.1 billion vehicle focused on performing, privately originated credit investments in the region.
The partnership strengthens Mubadala’s exposure in the rapidly growing APAC credit market, while enabling KKR to significantly scale its APAC credit

The Carlyle Group has acquired a majority stake in Spain-based plywood manufacturer Garnica from Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) and certain shareholders in a €500 million deal.
The transactions sees ICG exit the company, while the Garnica family will reinvest part of the money obtained and retain, along with the management team, a meaningful stake in the capital.

Bregal Sagemount (Sagemount), a growth-focused private equity firm, has held the final closing of the Bregal Sagemount Fund IV (Fund IV) at its hard cap of $2.5 billion, 66% larger than its prior fund.
Fund IV will continue the investment strategy Sagemount has pursued since inception in 2012, providing flexible, solution-oriented capital to durable growth businesses with high recurring revenues, operating in end-markets with uncorrelated secular growth characteristics.

Arrowpoint Advisory’s Industrials team has advised Switzerland-based Cavotec SA (Cavotec) on the carve out and disposal of its Airports Division to US-based investment group Fernweh Group. Cavotec Airports Division will now be known as Dabico Airports Solutions (Dabico).
Cavotec is a global engineering group, headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland, and listed on the Nasdaq OMX in Stockholm, Sweden. Cavotec designed and manufactured automated connection and electrification systems for ports, industrial, and airport applications worldwide before making the decision in 2021 to streamline its strategy and divest its Airports division.
