Switzerland’s SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), the world’s first fully regulated digital asset exchange and Central Securities Depository (CSD), in partnership with F10, a global FinTech and InsurTech Innovation Ecosystem and Aequitec, a digital share register and cap table company, ahas completed the first-ever tokenisation of equity shares in a fully regulated CSD based on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

European venture capital investor Seventure Partners has led a €5 million Series A funding round in Sentryc GmbH, a technology company founded in 2019. Sentryc offers companies and brands a digital solution as a brand protection specialist with its proprietary brand protection software to detect and curb product piracy and brand abuse on online marketplaces. With the substantial multi-million financing round, the digital focus and the strong partner network of the new investor, the team around CEO Nicole Jasmin Hofmann and CPO Hendrik Schüler gains effective support for the planned further development of the SaaS solution, growth and further expansion into
wefox, a Berlin-based insurtech, has closed a Series D funding round of $400 million – comprising equity and debt – and increasing its post-money valuation to $4.5 billion in the process. Mubadala Investment Company led the equity raise with participation from Eurazeo, LGT, Horizons Ventures, OMERS Ventures and Target Global. The round sees wefox increase its valuation from $3 billion to $4.5 billion in 12 months, bucking the trend currently experienced in the insurtech market and more broadly across the tech sector.  wefox intends to use the funding for product development and expand across Europe and thereafter Asia and the US.
BGF has exited its investment in Fife-headquartered housebuilder Campion Homes. Having initially invested a multimillion sum in 2016, BGF’s exit follows a strong period for Campion Homes, with it trebling in size taking turnover from £14.6 million to over £45 million. The company is utilising its profit growth and strong cash generation over BGF’s hold period to buy out BGF’s position in full.   Campion Homes is an award-winning family-owned business that has been constructing quality homes across East Central Scotland for over 30 years. Westwind Capital, a new European private equity real estate investment platform targeting Life Sciences & Innovation real estate and the Living sectors, has appointed Mark Terry as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. With Daniel Gorzawski as founding partner and CEO, Terry joins Tristan Capital Partners, bringing over 20 years of experience in finance and real estate investment management. Investec Aviation Finance (Investec) has completed a senior secured debt facility with ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company KSCP (ALAFCO). Investec has provided $15 million of senior debt financing against an aircraft being operated by a low-cost carrier in Southeast Asia that is currently undergoing restructuring. Established in 1992, ALAFCO began as an aircraft leasing arm of Kuwait Airways, before being acquired by Kuwait Finance House in 1999. It was listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (now Boursa Kuwait) in 2006 and has established itself as a leading name in aircraft leasing, currently operating out of both Kuwait and Dublin.
IK Partners’ (IK) IK IX Fund (IK IX) is to acquire a majority stake in leading Dutch consultancy and technology firm IG&H from its founding management team who are reinvesting alongside IK.
Tikehau Capital, a global alternative asset manager, has partnered with NOVAFRANCE Energy, a specialist in the development of renewable energy projects, to finance an programme of 5,000 photovoltaic poultry shelters. Launched at the end of 2018, NOVAFRANCE Energy specialises in agrivoltaics to design agricultural solutions for animal welfare by producing renewable electricity. The investment programme will look to deploy €50 million over the next few years for a potential photovoltaic capacity of 300 Megawatts peak[1] (MWp).   The funding is being provided by Tikehau Capital’s Green Assets strategy, one of its impact private equity strategies, which finances, builds and operates
