Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX, has led a $580 million Series B Funding round in Anthropic, a public benefit corporation and AI startup lab ached in 2020, according to a report by DailyAlts.
The round, which follows a $124 million Series A fundraise in 2021, also included participation from Caroline Ellison, Jim McClave, Nishad Singh, Jaan Tallinn, and the Center for Emerging Risk Research (CERR).

StepStone Group, a global private markets investment firm, has held the final closing of StepStone Senior Corporate Lending II (SCL II), raising $1.3 billion of commitments, surpassing its target of $1 billion.
Through SCL II, StepStone seeks to invest in post-Covid-19 vintage, senior secured, first-lien performing corporate loans. The portfolio will be diversified across geographies, managers, and single loan positions. Flexible allocations allow the Fund to allocate to GPs with the strongest pipelines.
The Fund attracted a broad and diverse group of investors with support from existing investors and new investors to StepStone’s private debt platform.

The Stifel/Eaton Partners 2022 GP Advisory Survey questioned 97 global investors regarding their approach to investing in GP-led secondary transactions.
Investors ranked Technology, Healthcare, Industrials, and SaaS as their current top four industries of focus, while Life Sciences and Energy were ranked the lowest.

Godspeed Capital Management (Godspeed Capital), a lower middle-market Defense & Government services, solutions, and technology focused private equity firm, has acquired Rachlin Partners (Rachlin), a fully integrated architecture, planning, program management and construction management (PM/CM) company focused on education and government facilities in California.
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
