HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment specialist, has appointed Adam Freedman as a managing director and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Freedman has more than 15 years of in-house legal and compliance experience, and most recently he was CCO and Associate General Counsel at Angelo, Gordon & Co. Prior to that role, he was an Executive Director in the Legal and Compliance division at Morgan Stanley. Freedman received his BA from Yale, his law degree from Oxford, and his Master’s in Law from the University of Chicago.
Great Hill Partners, a private equity firm that invests in high-growth, disruptive companies, has added Ned Leutz as go-to-market lead on the firm’s Growth team.  Leutz will collaborate with other members of the Growth Team to identify and pursue opportunities to enhance value and further scale Great Hill’s portfolio companies. Leutz is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, as well as driving top-line revenue and customer growth. Waterfall Asset Management has promoted Leo Wong and Keerthi Raghavan to partner from managing director. Both are based in New York office and join the six current partners at the firm. Raghavan and Wong have been instrumental in developing Waterfalls’ high yield ABS trading and residential loan strategies, respectively.
HIG Growth Partners (HIG Growth), the dedicated growth capital investment affiliate of HIG Capital, has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of two managing directors  – Patrick Conroy and Hans Sherman. Business and financial advisory firm Grant Thornton UK has promoted Martin Verrall to transaction tax partner in its South region. Verrall has a wealth of experience at Grant Thornton, joining as a graduate 15 years ago and spending the last decade working in transactions. Private equity attorney Nicola Di Giovanni has joined Skadden as a partner in the firm’s Paris office. Di Giovanni’s practice focuses on domestic and cross-border private equity. Di Giovanni advises investment funds, family offices and industrial companies in particular on acquisitions, buy-outs and joint ventures.  Di Giovanni cola joins from another international law firm in Paris where he was a partner in its corporate department. He is fluent in French, English and Italian.  
Francisco Partners (FP) has hired Ashley Evans as a Partner of the firm. At FP, Ashley will focus primarily on application software investments across a range of end-markets. Evans most recently served as a Managing Director at Carlyle Group, where she was a member of its technology investing team.
