Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) has appointed William Trevelyan Thomas as a Director in the firm’s Investment Management group. Trevelyan Thomas will be based in LLCP’s London office. Trevelyan Thomas joins LLCP from Charterhouse Capital Partners where he served as a Director for six years and prior to that he was with HIG Capital for five years.  Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, LLC is a middle-market private equity firm with a 39-year track record of investing across various targeted sectors, including franchising, business services, education and engineered products.
Snowball has appointed Sean Farrell as its new Investment Director. Farrell has over 20 years’ experience in private and public markets investing and portfolio composition, both through direct investing and the selection of fund managers. 
HIG Capital has appointed Kim Leinwand Erle as managing director and global head of ESG, a newly created role that reflects the global alternative asset manager’s ongoing commitment to the integration of environmental, social and governance best practices across the firm. Erle joins HIG from NY Green Bank, a specialty finance company, supporting sustainable investments in the clean energy markets. Foresight Group (Foresight), a leading listed private equity and infrastructure investment manager, has announced the opening of its new office in Dublin. This is Foresight’s first office in Ireland and will be located at Carmichael House, 60 Lower Baggot Street.  It is the first of three offices planned to be opened this year, the others being in the UK in Leeds and Newcastle.     The team based in the Dublin office will mainly source, execute and manage investments for the AIB Foresight SME Impact Fund (the fund) as well as support Foresight’s other activities in Ireland. Financial Services Capital (FSC), a private equity investor dedicated to the European financial services sector, has appointed Kirstyn Lowry-Corry, a finance specialist with more than 10 years’ experience, as financial director.  Lowry-Corry, who will work with Chief Operating Officer Chris Doukaki, joins from ScaleUp Capital, where she was responsible for the finance function. Her appointment continues the development of FSC’s institutional-grade team, led by Managing Partners Matthew D Hansen and Miroslav Boublik. Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP, the Maples Group’s law firm in Ireland, has relocated Adam Donoghue, co-head of the Irish Funds & Investment Management Group (FIMG), from its London office to Dublin. Donoghue has spent many of his 13 years with the firm developing the international footprint of the firm’s Irish offering. This has included a number of years in the firm’s Cayman Islands office, followed by the last five years successfully establishing and expanding a full-service Irish FIMG in London.   Donoghue’s relocation further bolsters the firm’s senior expertise in Dublin and will consolidate the firm’s position as the
Churchill Asset Management, an investment-specialist affiliate of Nuveen providing customised financing solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, has appointed Nick Lawler as Managing Director and Head of Secondaries.  Lawler, who will be responsible for leading the firm’s new secondaries strategy and investing across the secondaries landscape, is based in Churchill’s Chicago office and reports directly to Jason Strife, Head of Junior Capital & Private Equity Solutions. Advent International (Advent) has appointed Susan Gentile as chief financial officer (CFO) and Managing Director, effective 1 October, 2022. Gentile succeeds Eileen Sivolella, who has served in the role since 2009 and will assume the role of strategic advisor on an interim basis to provide continuity. Gentile brings nearly two decades of experience across financial services. She most recently served as Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at HIG Capital, where she was responsible for leading the strategic direction of the global private investment firm since 2018, including managing its development and growing assets. LiveOak Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm, has added to its investment team with the appointment of Paola Retes as vice president. This addition to the team coincides with the launch of the firm’s third investment vehicle, a $210 million fund focused on early-stage companies based in Texas. Retes joins LiveOak after graduating from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where her main extracurricular activity was as a founding board member of Galvanizer, a nonprofit incubator for female founders. Sidley has appointed Daniel Elefant as a partner in its M&A and Private Equity practice in San Francisco. Prior to joining Sidley, Elefant was a Director at SoftBank Investment Advisers, serving as senior in-house counsel for SoftBank’s $100-plus billion Vision Funds. Elefant has experience in representing technology and life sciences companies, from formation through initial public offerings or M&A exits, and as a corporate/securities counsel following initial public offering.
