Ocorian has appointed Owen Jones as head of infrastructure. He will be part of chief operating officer Carole Murphy’s team as the fund administration, capital markets, corporate and fiduciary services specislist strengthens its focus on business transformation across the group.
Jones has a proven track record delivering and supporting major transformation programmes within stringent regulatory requirements. He will be working to streamline Ocarina’s environment while enhancing user service and driving cost effectiveness. He will be based in London, helping to lead Ocorian’s global IT journey to the cloud.
Battery Ventures has promoted eight investors across its four offices worldwide including three principals who work closely with the firm’s general partners to manage investments: Brandon Gleklen, based in New York; Dillon Joyce, in San Francisco; and Justin Rosner, in Boston.

Angeles Equity Partners (Angeles) has promoted Sam Heischuber and Sameer Patel to managing director, and Max Schechter to principal, head of business development.
Heischuber is responsible for the evaluation, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities at Angeles Equity Partners, primarily in the building products, distribution, and transportation and logistics sectors. Heischuber joined the firm in 2016 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Angeles portfolio companies, including Freymiller and RōBEX.

During his time as CEO of PRA Health Sciences, revenue of the company grew over seven-fold from less than $460mm to over $3.3 billion.

Backstop Solutions Group, a cloud-based productivity suite for institutional and alternative investors, has appointed Michael Neuman as the company’s first chief information security officer (CISO).
As CISO, Neuman will lead Backstop’s efforts in elevating compliance standards internally, and providing strategic counsel to Backstop’s clients to help them better adhere to security by design principles across their organisations. Neuman will also be responsible for the areas of privacy and trust, helping to expand Backstop’s expertise in these evolving areas of regulation and compliance.
