Bridge Investment Group Holdings has launched its newest strategy, Bridge Ventures, which will focus on proptech investments, and appointed Jeremy Ford as its chief investment officer.
Bridge Ventures will focus on both early- and later-stage proptech companies and expects to pursue investments in industry-leading proptech funds.
Ford joins Bridge Investment Group from REEF Technology, where he was head of property strategy. Prior to REEF Technology, he held roles at BLG Capital Limited and The Carlyle Group. Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, has appointed Lynnette Mays as director, Americas within its Investor Development Group.
Mays joins the Actis IDG Americas team bolstering Actis’ presence in the region. Her appointment follows that of Neda Vakilian, Managing Director of Global Relationships and Charles Daulon du Laurens, Head of EMEA Sales, both of whom joined Actis’s Investor Development Group in late 2021.

The Carlyle Group Inc is making changes in its executive leadership team. Chief executive officer Kewsong Lee’s five-year employment agreement is coming to a close at the end of 2022 and both the company’s board of directors and Lee have mutually agreed that the time is right to initiate a search for a new CEO for the global investment firm.

Milbank LLP is expanding its Capital Markets practice with the addition of equity capital markets (ECM) expert Philipp Klöckner and his team, strengthening the firm’s transactional practice in equity capital markets/initial public offerings (IPOs) and public takeovers.

Binance has appointed its co-founder Yi He as the new head of its venture capital (VC) arm and incubator, Binance Labs.
Binance Labs is the largest crypto VC in the industry by assets under management (AUM) with a multiple on invested capital (MOIC) of 21.0x. Binance Labs manages total assets of $7.5 billion, comprised of more than 200 portfolio projects.
Yi He will lead global strategy and the day-to-day operations at Binance Labs. Part of her focus will be on supporting infrastructure projects and improving utility in innovative crypto and blockchain projects.

David M Hutchins, who served as the general counsel of North America Private Investments at Bain Capital, has joined Ropes & Gray. He will be a partner in the firm’s private equity practice.
At Bain, Hutchins advised Bain’s North America Private Equity, Ventures, Life Sciences, Double Impact and Tech Opportunities teams. He advised investors and legal teams on an array of ambitious mergers, acquisitions, take-privates, minority and majority investments, fund formations, and led teams that advised on day-to-day management of Bain’s portfolio companies.

Operating out of the Silicon Valley office and reporting directly to founder, chief executive officer, and chief investment officer, David Spreng, Pritchard will primarily make investments in the broader technology industry, including in companies focused on sustainability. Additionally, he will target top venture capital firms and the management teams of leading late-stage technology companies.

Vida Capital (Vida), a portfolio company of RedBird Capital Partners and Reverence Capital Partners, has appointed Matthew Roesler as managing director, structured credit. Roesler will be based in New York and report to Peter Polanskyj, head of structured credit.
Roesler will work alongside Polanskyj in support of the firm’s structured finance portfolios.
