Graphite Capital, a UK mid-market private equity specialist, has made three appointments which further develop its value creation and investment expertise. Emma Winter and Nick Eichorn have joined Graphite as value creation directors while Matt Hamilton-Allen has joined as an investment director.   Winter previously led the digital transformation practice of a boutique management consulting firm. She is now helping Graphite’s portfolio companies with implementing technology strategies and strengthening their business processes. Ridge Ventures, a seed and early-stage, enterprise-focused venture capital firm whose investments include Bolt, Braze, and Discord, has appointed Akriti Dokania as a partner. Dokania will contribute to the firm’s enterprise investments by drawing on her experience as a product leader and technologist, as well as years of experience as a venture investor. Dokania spent the last four years at Octopus Ventures, investing in early-stage B2B and Deep tech startups such as LifeScore (backed by Warner Music Group), vHive, ThoughtRiver, and more. She also helped exit companies like UltraSoC (acquired by Siemens) and BehavioSec (acquired by LexisNexis).

Lead Capital Partners (LCP), a Nashville-based private equity firm focused on lower middle market buyouts of healthcare companies, has appointed Carl Grote as a director. Prior to joining LCP, Grote worked in the Investment Banking departments of Janney Montgomery Scott and Robert W Baird & Co providing middle market M&A advisory and financing services. He received his BA from Washington and Lee University and MS. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ara Partners (Ara), a private equity firm that specialises in industrial decarbonisation investments, has hired Alyssa Hooper as a principal to support its infrastructure strategy. Hooper is a senior investment professional with over ten years of investment and advisory experience in infrastructure and sustainable project finance. She will be based in Ara’s Boston office. Prior to joining Ara, Ms. Hooper was a Principal at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a multi-billion infrastructure manager.

TMT Investments, a venture capital company investing in high-growth technology companies, has appointed Andrea Nastaj to the Board as an independent non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect. Nastaj has been appointed a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees, succeeding Petr Lanin. Leading venture capital firm Menlo Ventures has appointed Silicon Valley veteran Aunkur Arya as a Venture partner in the firm’s investment team. As an investor at Menlo, Aunkur will draw on deep domain expertise to identify and grow the next breakout fintech companies.   Through leadership roles at Braintree, Paypal, and Google, Aunkur developed an understanding of fintech customers and the problems they face.
