Neil Evans is to re-join Clifford Chance in January 2022 as a private equity partner based in London.
Having originally practised at Clifford Chance, and then Simpson Thacher Bartlett, Evans re-joins from Mayer Brown’s private equity practice having advised on transactions with a range of clients, including Blackstone, KKR and Bain Capital.
Evans’s appointment reflects Clifford Chance’s continued investment in its global private equity practice. BGF has appointed Roshni Bandesha to the role of head of ESG and Sustainability.
In her role at BGF, Bandesha will be responsible for embedding its sustainability strategy and integrating ESG within new and existing portfolio companies. She will report directly into executive chairman, Stephen Welton.
Bandesha has spent the last decade working with global organisations to harness the power of ESG and purpose. Most recently, she led the impact and ESG strategy at LeapFrog Investments, one of the largest dedicated impact investors, reaching over 170 million low-income people across 11 emerging markets.

Summit Partners, a global growth equity investor, has added JD Mullin to the firm’s Executive-in-Residence (EIR) programme.
In this role, Mullin will work closely with Summit’s technology team to identify new investment and leadership opportunities in growth-stage software companies.
Mullin brings substantial experience in leading and scaling fast-growing SaaS businesses, as well as in building engineering and product teams that help drive rapid innovation and support high-velocity sales models.
