Experienced private equity and venture capital finance director, Marcus Karia has joined fast growing YFM Equity Partners (YFM) as chief financial officer. Joining YFM as a partner, Karia will work across YFM’s offices in London, Leeds, Manchester, Reading and Birmingham. Over the last 13 years, he has held roles across the fund management industry, including with Bridges Fund Management and with LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group.    Most recently, Karia was group finance director of London Stock Exchange-listed venture capital firm Arix Bioscience plc, dealing with all aspects of its operations and overseeing finance, portfolio monitoring

Global investment firm KKR has appointed KV Kamath as a Senior Advisor to KKR India. His appointment is effective immediately. Kamath has more than five decades of experience building and leading large Indian businesses. Most recently, Kamath served as the first President of the New Development Bank, a multilateral development bank established by the BRICS nations, from its founding in 2015 until 2020. Prior to that, he was Chairman of ICICI Bank and Infosys Limited, two of India’s leading companies. Clearwater Analytics, a provider of SaaS-based investment accounting, reporting, and analytics solutions, has appointed Jonathan Flitt as Global Head of Private Assets. In this capacity, he is leading product management, strategy, and execution to deliver platform capabilities and innovative solutions that provide total portfolio transparency for the rapidly-growing private markets space. This appointment reflects Clearwater’s continued investment in these asset classes.   Flitt brings to Clearwater extensive experience across alternatives, wealth, and asset management. BGF has added two new high-profile names to its clean growth advisory board, which was set up earlier this year to accelerate investments in companies engaged in carbon reduction and the energy transition.  The advisory board is chaired by Julia King (Baroness Brown of Cambridge).   The new additions are: Juliet Davenport OBE, the founder of Good Energy, and Laura Sandys CBE, a senior policy and business advisor specialising in the energy, food and sustainability sectors.    They will provide guidance on sector trends, market opportunities and government policy to support BGF in its clean growth investment and portfolio activities.

Perwyn has appointed Maxime Menu as an Investment Manager in its Private Equity team. Menu joins from OMERS Private Equity, where he worked as a Senior Associate. His experience includes working on majority, direct control buyouts with target equity investments of around USD300-600 million.  A fluent French and English speaker, he also speaks Italian and German and has worked on many transactions across Europe, with a particular focus on the UK, France, and Benelux.   His team at OMERS, led by recent Perwyn recruit Martin Le Huray, managed an asset portfolio valued at around $14.8bn.  Menu held asset management responsibility
