Dr Markus Boettcher, 52, a longstanding partner at Bain & Company and a high-profile consultant in the area of value creation for private equity portfolio companies, has joined EY (Ernst & Young) as a partner in Transaction Advisory Services.
In his new role, Boettcher will support leading private equity funds and their portfolio companies in Europe. A key focus of his advisory work will be value creation at private equity portfolio companies. He will also work on operational due diligence reviews.

Evans joins from the London-based boutique advisory firm Strand Hanson, where he was COO.
