Duff & Phelps has appointed Tyrone Courtman as a Managing Director in the firm’s Restructuring Advisory practice.
Based in Birmingham, Courtman will focus on restructuring advisory for corporate clients based in the East Midlands.
Courtman is a Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. He joins Duff & Phelps from PKF Cooper Parry LLP, where he was the lead partner of the firm’s business restructuring, recovery and insolvency services practice.

In addition to
Law firm Paul Hastings has added M&A infrastructure and energy partner Steven Bryan to the firm’s London office. Bryan joins from Hogan Lovells, where he was part of the leadership committee of the global corporate practice.

Vistra, a global trust, fund administration and corporate services provider, has appointed Alan Brown as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Geoff Weir as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both will join Vistra in April.
Based in Vistra’s headquarters in Hong Kong, Brown and Weir will also join the company’s Board. Their appointments are subject to regulatory approval. Simon Hinshelwood, who has been leading the business as the Executive Chairman, will resume his Non-Executive Chairman role on the Board.

RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS), part of Royal Bank of Canada (RY on TSX and NYSE), has appointed Ronan Doyle as Global Head of Product Management, Transfer Agency.
Doyle joins RBC in Dublin with significant experience in international Transfer Agency (TA), technology and innovation having spent over 15 years in the asset servicing industry. Doyle previously held senior roles with the Bank of Ireland, where he was Chief Operating Officer of Group Customer, Digital and Innovation, and prior to that Citi where he was head of EMEA Transfer Agency Product Management within its Markets and Securities Services division.
Investec Bank (Investec) has appointed Tom Glover to head the bank’s fund finance business in New York and join its global leadership team. Glover now leads a growing US-based team at Investec USA Holdings Corp. that is expanding its presence in portfolio-based financing solutions.

Global investment firm KKR has appointed Kate Richdale as Member and Head of Strategy & Business Development in Asia Pacific.
Richdale will work with KKR’s senior leadership team in Asia to help the Firm expand its platform across business and new investment strategies. She will also work with KKR’s Asia investing businesses to assist in advancing the deal origination pipeline and to get involved at a strategic level with the Firm’s key client relationships across the region.
Richdale’s appointment builds on KKR’s significant investment in its Asia franchise. Over the past year, KKR has hired two additional Members, John Pattar and
Arrow Capital Partners, an investor and operator of real estate in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has appointed Paul Surian as Investment Manager Europe.
In this role, Surian will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and completing on European transactions across mandates and joint ventures as well as having responsibility for investment performance.
Surian joins Arrow Capital Partners having worked six years as a transactions manager with responsibility for sourcing and underwriting real estate deals across Europe, previously working with Katherine Parker and Christian Bearman at Valad Europe. Prior to this he was a property investment analyst at AMP Capital.

Estera, a provider of funds, corporate and trust services, has appointed Ethan Levner as Managing Director in Guernsey in addition to his responsibilities as Group Head of Corporate Development, encompassing M&A and group strategy.
Levner (pictured), joined Estera in 2016 to lead the company’s growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions and has been central to devising and executing that strategy through a series of selective acquisitions, which have transformed Estera’s capabilities and scale. Levner has nearly 20 years’ experience in private equity and investment banking, giving him a deep understanding of issues relevant for Estera’s clients.

NorthEdge Capital has appointed Lloyd Williams as Portfolio Director and Maninder Minhas as Investment Manager, bolstering the private equity house’s Yorkshire base.
Williams has over 25 years’ experience covering private equity, investment banking, corporate advisory and restructuring. He was formerly the Head of Private Equity for Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain), where he was responsible for the management and exit of a USD300 million portfolio of international investments. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles with KPMG, Deutsche Bank (Singapore) and Zeus Capital.
