Akin Gump has appointed Michael Joyce as a partner in its global energy and transactions practice in Singapore.
Joyce comes to Akin Gump from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was head of the oil and gas group for Australia.
He has relocated from Sydney, Australia, back to Singapore where he was based earlier in his career.

Peer-to-peer finance platform Assetz Capital has appointed Mark Standley, the former branch manager at Handelsbanken Cardiff and Bridgend, to oversee the firm’s expansion plans for South Wales.
Prior to his time at Handelsbanken, Standley was with Barclays leading a mid and large corporate business development team across South Wales.

Eden L Rohrer has joined the New York office of K&L Gates as a partner in the investment management, hedge funds and alternative investments practice.
She joins K&L Gates from Crowell & Moring.
Rohrer (pictured) concentrates her practice on broker-dealer regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters, including Self Regulatory Organisation (SRO) membership, employment, research, soft dollar arrangements, chaperoning of foreign broker-dealers, social media, anti-money laundering rules, securities offerings, and market making and trading issues.

David Sheasby, head of governance and sustainability at Martin Currie, has been appointed to the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) ESG Engagements advisory committee.
Martin Currie’s experience in engagement with investee companies, as well as the considerable work Sheasby has done in this area, prompted the PRI’s appointment.

Ralf Schremper is to join as a partner in the private equity team at Oakley Capital with a focus on building out Oakley’s presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
He is anticipated to join Oakley in August 2017.
Schremper will join from ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, a German media and digital group, where he was the chief strategy and investment officer and also served as a member of the executive board. Fund and corporate services provider the Aztec Group has strengthened its real assets team in Luxembourg with the appointment of Stephen Osmont as associate director.
In this new role, Osmont (pictured) will lead the real assets teams in Luxembourg, with overall responsibility for the relationship management activities of those teams.
Osmont will also play an active role in helping to drive the continued growth of the group’s Luxembourg office which has grown from 49 to 152 employees in the last 12 months. He will work closely alongside the business development team to build and enhance relationships with local intermediaries,

Tomko has nearly 30 years of third party fund administration experience, including time spent servicing mutual funds, hedge funds and private equity funds.
His varied executive experience includes operations, relationship management, strategic planning and sales.
In this new role at Ultimus, Tomko will be responsible for fund accounting, financial administration, transfer agency, new client implementations and relationship management.

Ash takes up his new part-time position this week.
He was previously chief executive officer of Oasis Dental Care, where he grew the business to become the largest private dental provider in the UK, culminating in its sale in November 2016 from European private equity house Bridgepoint to Bupa for GBP835 million.
Prior to Oasis Dental Group, Ash was UK managing director of Lloyds Pharmacy.

Stephen Delaney has been made a partner of Bowmark Capital, the mid-market private equity firm.
At the same time, Antonia Cheong and Guy Yarrow have been promoted to investment director.
Delaney leads Bowmark’s technology practice and, most recently, led the firm’s investment in Node4, the fast-growing IT solutions provider. He joined Bowmark in 2014 from Darwin Private Equity.
Cheong joined Bowmark from DC Advisory in 2014 and is a member of the firm’s business services and healthcare teams. She has been involved in a number of Bowmark’s investments, and she sits on the board of PSH, one of the
