Victory Park Capital (VPC), an asset management firm focused on middle market debt and equity investments, has appointed Karrie Truglia as vice president in New York City to further develop the firm’s debt capital markets activity. VPC has also promoted three investment professionals to vice president and hired four new associates and two operations personnel in its Chicago office. HIG Capital has promoted Andrew Scotland (pictured) to Managing Director of Bayside Capital, the distressed debt and special situations affiliate of HIG Scotland joined HIG Capital in 2013 as a Principal. He is based in HIG’s London office and has over 17 years of investment banking and distressed investment experience across a variety of industries. Prior to joining HIG Capital, Scotland was a Managing Director in Royal Bank of Scotland’s Special Situations Group for more than six years, where he was the senior analyst focused on European distressed investments. Hawksford Steve Spybey
Eighteen months after establishing a presence in Asia and following substantive growth, Hawksford is strengthening its commitment to the Asian market by building its team. Group chief operations officer Steve Spybey (pictured) has been seconded to the Singapore office to support further growth within Hawksford’s Asian business and to consolidate integration across the company’s international offices. The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association EVCA today announces that it has changed its name to ‘Invest Europe – The Voice of Private Capital’.  Invest Europe is the voice of investors in privately-held companies in Europe. SSA & Company (SSA) has hired Paul de Janosi (pictured) and Jeff Krajacic to help lead its Private Equity practice. The appointments come amid increasing demand from private equity firms for on-the-ground management consulting expertise. Baird, an employee-owned, international financial services firm, has appointed Terry Huffine (pictured) as a Managing Director in the firm’s Global Consumer Investment Banking group in London. With extensive transaction experience across several different Consumer sector verticals, Huffine will further expand Baird’s Global Consumer Investment Banking coverage in Europe and strengthen its comprehensive, capital markets industry platform.   Huffine was most recently a Managing Director and Head of Consumer at DC Advisory where he established and built out its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) investment banking business. Hebble joins from Cerberus Capital Management (CCM), where he was a Managing Director responsible for origination, underwriting, portfolio management, and investment exits for a broad range of private finance transactions.
