Henry Kravis, co-founder, KKR
KKR has appointed former President and CEO of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) and the Japan Exchange Group (JPX), as Non-Executive Chairman of KKR Japan, effective 1 August, 2015. Lyceum Capital, the growth investor, has expanded its investment team with the appointment of Thomas Keen (pictured) as an investment executive. Keen joins Lyceum from CIL Management Consultants during which time he worked on over 30 commercial due diligence projects for many different UK mid-market private equity houses.   At Lyceum, Keen will work with the investment team to originate, support and execute new platform investments and add-on acquisitions for existing portfolio companies.  His appointment is the third in 2015 following new operations and development partner Geoff Neville and investment executive Alistair Gray.    Simon Hitchcock, partner at Lyceum, says:

Global law firm Proskauer announced that Niamh A Curry has joined the law firm Proskauer’s Private Investment Funds Group as a partner in New York. Curry’s arrival follows the recent appointment of Bruno Bertrand-Delfau in London.   Curry’s practice focuses on the structuring and formation of international and domestic private investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds and fund of funds, as well as the purchase of portfolios of stakes in private investment funds and unlisted companies. LBO has appointed Stéphanie Casciola, Head of Real Estate team, and Jacques Franchi, Head of Portfolio Management team, as Members of the Executive Board, and Jacques Franchi as Chief Investment Officer, in charge of overall investment procedures. Private client specialist Steve Carr joined Hawksford, formerly Rathbones, in 2000. UK fund management company Octopus Investments has appointed serial retailer John Browett (pictured) as Non-Executive Director. The appointment comes as Octopus continues to expand rapidly, driven by its commitment to customer service and transforming markets that are failing to serve their customers effectively.   Browett brings with him a wealth of experience in the retail sector having worked with  a number of household brands, which most recently led to his appointment as CEO of homewares store Dunelm. He was previously CEO at Monsoon Accessorize and before that Dixons Retail, with a stint in between at Apple as Head of Retail.

Cosgrave brings twenty-five years of experience in international capital markets. Most recently, he was Head of EMEA alternatives business development at SSC GlobeOp.
