Moore Group has strengthened its senior management team appointment of Jon Trigg as private equity director.
Trigg’s private equity expertise and knowledge spanning the whole client, technical and operational spectrum from over 13 years in the sector make him the ideal candidate for the new role at Moore.
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Trigg has joined Moore from State Street (Jersey) where he held the position of director. Jim Douglass has joined Fulcrum Equity Partners as partner.
He will work closely with the fund’s existing portfolio companies and will also develop new investment opportunities.
Douglass brings more than 25 years of operations management, strategic development and financial experience with high-growth companies, particularly in the financial services, marketing services and healthcare industries.

The European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association has elected George Anson of HarbourVest Partners as its chairman.
Anson (pictured) is the first EVCA chairman to be an investor (limited partner).
Anson succeeded Vincenzo Morelli of TPG Capital at the EVCA 30th Anniversary Symposium, held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Lyceum Capital has expanded its investment team with the appointments of Matthew Norrington and Thomas Alldred as the UK lower mid-market growth investor prepares to deploy its third fund.
Norrington joins as an investment director from LDC where he spent over five years originating and executing buyouts with enterprise values (EV) of between GBP5m and GBP100m, as well as supporting the development of the firm’s portfolio companies. He worked on nine transactions during this time, including the buyout of mechanical engineering specialist PJD and exit from specialist retailer American Golf.

Cayman directorship services company International Management Services (IMS) has added Cary Marr to its fund fiduciary team.
Marr, who joins IMS from Meridian Fund Services, an independently-owned hedge fund and private equity fund administrator, is well versed in the governance and regulatory issues facing hedge funds and has been providing non-executive directorship services for the past ten years.

Karen Eliadis has joined venture capital firm Lux Capital as its chief financial officer based in Palo Alto.
Eliadis (pictured) was most recently the chief financial officer of BlueRun Ventures, a venture capital firm with more than USD1bn in assets, based in Menlo Park.
She was previously director of finance of Sofinnova Ventures, a Menlo Park-based technology and life science venture capital firm. Before joining Sofinnova, Eliadis was managing director, finance for a private equity firm and held senior finance positions at several large organisations.

Sheryl Schwartz has joined Caspian Private Equity as managing director, investments and has also been appointed to Caspian’s investment and executive committees.
As part of Caspian’s investment team, she will lead investments in primary and secondary funds.

Three private equity and technology executives have launched Bridge Growth Partners, a growth-oriented private equity investment firm.
Bridge Growth will leverage the investment experience, strategic insight and operational expertise of its principals to focus on investments in technology and financial services as well as technology-enabled opportunities in other sectors.
The firm’s founding principals are Sander Levy, Alok Singh and Kevin Parker. Levy was a founding partner and managing director of Vestar Capital Partners, a private equity firm that manages over USD8bn of equity capital. Lars Nyberg, former president and chief executive officer of Telia Sonera, has been appointed as board member of Segulah Advisor.
Nyberg (pictured) is also chairman of DataCard and Autoliv.
Between 1995 and 2003, Nyberg was chairman and chief executive of NCR Corp, where he continued as chairman until 2005.
Previously, Nyberg held several managerial positions in Philips and was a member of Philips Group Management Committee.
