Alliance+, the Nordic cleaning business backed by Danish/Swedish mid-market private equity investor Polaris Private Equity, has completed its seventh add-on deal, acquiring Facila, a complementary Swedish business.
Alliance+ was formed by Polaris in 2009 through the simultaneous acquisition of Kølving & Thaning and Alliance Clean & Care – two cleaning service companies operating in Denmark.
Since then the company has made a number of add-on acquisitions, initially in Denmark. In 2012 Alliance+ reached a strategically important milestone with the acquisition of Sweden’s largest privately owned cleaning services company, Miljöteamet, which transformed the business into a pan-Nordic entity, making it the largest privately owned single service cleaning company in Scandinavia.
The acquisition of Facila is part of a strategy to build the Swedish side of the business following the Miljöteamet acquisition, and follows five successful add-ons in Denmark. The combined business, which provides traditional cleaning services for large commercial and public sector premises, as well as offering a range of associated niche services, will have 2,125 employees and revenues of DKK 911m.
