SMH Capital has announced that Stephen P. Hines has joined the firm as a managing director in its investment banking practice in New York.
SMH Capital has announced that Stephen P. Hines has joined the firm as a managing director in its investment banking practice in New York.
Hines will be joining an experienced team of investment banking professionals in New York, where he will be spearheading the firm’s new business origination efforts.
Formerly a managing director at Lane Berry International, where he was head of the New York office, Hines brings more than 27 years of investment banking experience and a strong background in new business development.
Hines’ investment banking experience includes a dozen years working in the mergers and acquisitions group at Goldman Sachs and nearly a half dozen years in the corporate financial advisory group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. In addition, Hines will bring his private equity investing experience as a general partner of J.H. Whitney to bear on his new responsibilities at SMH Capital.
