Early-stage venture capital firm vSpring Capital has announced that analyst Jon Walker has been promoted to manager of marketing and investor relations for the Salt Lake City-based firm
Early-stage venture capital firm vSpring Capital has announced that analyst Jon Walker has been promoted to manager of marketing and investor relations for the Salt Lake City-based firm.
Walker (pictured) began his career at vSpring Capital as an intern during the summer of 2006 and was placed at Control4, a vSpring portfolio company. At Control4 he worked in their business marketing group and assisted in creating and executing their global marketing campaign.
The following year, in May 2007, Walker re-joined the vSpring team as an analyst and has been involved in conducting due diligence, deal sourcing and analyzing potential investment opportunities.
‘Jon has excelled during his time at vSpring and adds great value to our team,’ says Ed Ekstrom, managing director of vSpring Capital. ‘With this promotion we can utilize Jon’s marketing and relationship building skills to help vSpring remain a leader in the Rocky Mountain venture capital industry.’
In his new position, Walker will be responsible for the firm’s v100 and internship programs, assisting in fundraising activities and investor and entrepreneur relations.
