Silver Lake names co-heads of investment operations for EMEA

Silver Lake, which makes private investments in technology and technology-enabled industries, has appointed Christian Lucas and Joe Osnoss as co-heads of the Silver Lake Partners’ business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Lucas and Osnoss will be responsible for sourcing, arranging and managing investments across Europe and expanding the firm’s relationships in the broader EMEA region.

Lucas joins Silver Lake from Morgan Stanley, where for the past seven years he has served as managing director and head of technology investment banking in Europe.

Osnoss is a managing director of Silver Lake and has been with the firm for more than eight years, most recently in its New York office.

Lucas and Osnoss will be based in London, where they will lead a team of 16 investment professionals focused exclusively on technology investing.

“Joe and Christian are talented executives with deep expertise and complementary backgrounds within the technology sector,” says Jim Davidson, Silver Lake’s co-founder and co-chief executive. “Joe is a proven leader within our firm and has an exceptional investment track record in his years at Silver Lake. Christian has built and led one of Europe’s premier technology banking franchises and has an intimate understanding of the European technology industry and unique relationships throughout the sector.”

“I look forward to working with Christian Lucas, who is a respected senior professional in the European business community,” Osnoss says. “Silver Lake’s strategy is to invest in leading technology and technology-enabled franchises worldwide, and Europe is home to many of the very best companies in these sectors.”
