An affiliate of Peak Rock Capital (Peak Rock), a middle-market private investment firm, has completed the acquisition of Amtech and New Futura Services (Amtech Software) leading providers of manufacturing ERP software and technology services for the packaging and other manufacturing industries.
Amtech’s innovative, end-to-end suite of software, automation and other technology solutions serve as the backbone for a diverse group of over 245 customers and more than 750 manufacturing plants. Its tailored solutions enable manufactures to remain competitive in a fast-evolving industry, while also achieving operational excellence in areas including plant management, production planning, supply chain, sales and customer service.
An affiliate of global alternative investment firm HIG Capital (HIG) has made an equity investment in The Bluebird Group (Bluebird0, a retail services consulting firm.
Founded in 2015, Bluebird provides emerging and category-leading brands with outsourced retail services required to optimise online and in-store sales. A company controlled by the Permira funds has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Engel & Völkers – an international property brokerage platform.
Following the transaction, the Völkers family and part of the management team will retain almost 40 per cent of the shares in the company. Founder Christian Völkers will become Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Ritchie Bros, a global asset management, disposition, and services company, is to acquire European plant and machinery auction house, Euro Auctions, for an enterprise value of GBP775 million (approximately USD1.08 billion).
Founded in 1998, Euro Auctions conducts unreserved heavy equipment auctions with onsite and online bidding under the brands Euro Auctions and Yoder & Frey, with 200-plus employees in 14 countries. Phillips 66 has made an investment in Seeq, a developer of software applications for analysing and sharing insights on process manufacturing data.
The investment is through the Altira Group, a venture capital firm that counts Seeq as one of its portfolio companies. It is the first investment by Phillips 66’s Digital Ventures organisation, which is part of the AdvantEdge66 program launched by the company to drive digital transformation and innovation.

Mid-market private equity investor LDC has backed the management buyout (MBO) of Texecom, the UK’s leading manufacturer of electronic security products and services, from FTSE 100-listed technology group Halma plc.

UK law firm Shoosmiths has advised Kortext, a Bournemouth-based university-focussed digital teaching and learning platform, in securing a GBP15 million series B investment from DMG Ventures, the venture capital arm of Daily Mail and General Trust plc, that has previously backed companies including Cazoo and Zoopla.
Kortext has been a Shoosmiths client since its founding by James Gray in 2013. The firm has acted for Kortext in all its prior funding rounds, raising GBP19 million since it began trading. DMG Ventures led the company’s series A round in 2019 and was the sole participant in this latest round.
