A new initiative from IQ-EQ will support women to launch and grow their first funds. IQ-EQ Launchpad aims to expand inclusivity for the wider asset management industry and foster a self-sustaining network of women in senior leadership roles. Funds with over 50 per cent women ownership or a woman founder will be eligible to receive preferential service terms, tailored fund administration solutions, capacity building and access to a global network. The Launchpad suite of services is designed to help women overcome the specific challenges they face launching their first funds, and was prompted by a recognition of the limited opportunities
Softline is to acquire a majority stake in SoftClub (SCGroup Investments Limited), a fintech developer of integrated solutions for banks, e-commerce, and stock exchanges in Central and Eastern Europe. The company – considered by industry experts to be amongst the top-100 software firms in the world – has one of the most qualified software engineering teams in Eastern Europe with over 20 years of industry experience and with more than 950 staff, a tenured management team and deep knowledge of the sector.     SoftClub’s suite of products cover 85 per cent of the modern bank application landscape.
MFM Holding Ltd (Moneyfarm), a digital wealth manager, has raised GBP44.1 million in a funding round led by M&G plc (M&G) and included Poste Italiane SpA (Poste), who has been a minority shareholder in the business since 2019. Moneyfarm has now raised GBP139 million since launching in 2021. Astia, a twenty year old organisation dedicated to levelling the investment playing field through intentional investment in women-led companies, has released the findings from a three-year pilot, which was launched when Astia first uncovered a racial bias within its investment decision-making process. Astia Edge, Our Failure to Invest in Black Founders and What We Have Done About It, highlights that investment, advocacy and access are critical to levelling the playing field for Black female founders, and the pilot demonstrated a 22-times leverage on invested capital, along with portfolio companies raising >USD5 million in outside investment.    Three years on since

Securing Investment
Globalization Partners, a global employment platform, has secured a USD200 million investment from Vista Credit Partners (VCP), a subsidiary of Vista Equity Partners (Vista).
PDQ.com, a provider of IT asset management software backed by private equity firm TA Associates, has acquired SmartDeploy, a specialist in remote computer management. The acquisition comes just months after PDQ.com acquired SimpleMDM, further enhancing its value proposition to the broader IT community by making device management easier from start to finish.    SmartDeploy manages Windows devices offline, on-prem, or through the cloud, making it well suited for every computing environment. IT professionals can easily manage drivers, applications, patches, and scripting through SmartDeploy’s single-image management and patented device driver injection technology.
SK AeroSafety Group (SK), a portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), has acquired Fire-Tec Aero Systems (Fire-Tec).
HTEC Group (HTEC), a global consulting, software engineering and digital product development company, has secured a USD140 million investment from Brighton Park Capital (Brighton Park), a growth equity investment firm that specialises in partnering with growth-stage software, healthcare and tech-enabled services businesses. HTEC will use this investment to further scale its capacities to deliver industry-leading products and technologies to its growing global customer base. Brighton Park’s investment is among the largest initial funding rounds by dollar value recorded in Europe this past year. The financing will enable HTEC to further scale its product design and deep technology engineering capabilities through
ArmorCode, a specialist in AppSecOps, has secured an additional USD8 million in a seed financing round led by Cervin Ventures with participation from Sierra Ventures. The firm’s previous USD3 million funding round was supported by Tau Ventures, and several prominent Cybersecurity leaders, including founders of Demisto and RedLock.  The company will use these new funds to extend its AppSecOps platform capabilities and expand the company’s go-to-market efforts.
