Verica, the continuous verification company using chaos engineering to make systems more reliable and less vulnerable to costly incidents, has raised USD12 million in Series A funding round led by Intel Capital. True Ventures and Mango Capital also participated in the round which brings Verica’s total venture-backed funding to date to to USD17 million. This new capital will allow Verica to expand upon its product roadmap, continue building out the enterprise-class features customers expect, grow its headcount, scale its go-to-market activities and ultimately allow the company to onboard future customers at a faster pace.
Amplify Life Insurance, a digital life insurance platform focused on helping customers build wealth through permanent life insurance, has raised USD12 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Greycroft and Crosslink Capital. Other investors who participated include Conversion Capital, Anthemis, and Transverse Asset Management. Amplify is digital platform that offers customers the ability to invest in public equities or alternative investments with their life insurance premiums, accessing tax-free returns throughout their lifetime.  After incorporating in September 2019, Amplify raised its seed round in January, 2021. Private equity firm Liberty Strategic Capital is to invest USD150 million in Satellogic in connection with its merger with CF Acquisition Corp V (CFV), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) sponsored by Cantor Fitzgerald, which will see Satellogic become a publicly traded company. Satellogic specialises in high-resolution imagery of the Earth’s surface obtained through a constellation of low earth orbit satellites.  CFV was formed as a “blank check” company in January 2020 and completed an IPO in February 2021 at a price of USD10 per unit. Dream Games, a Turkey-based studio behind the hit mobile game Royal Match, has become one of the most valuable private mobile gaming companies in the world after raising USD255 million from investors at a USD2.75 billion valuation – representing a doubling of the company’s value in six months. The Series C – the company’s third venture round in the past year – was led by Index Ventures, which has supported Dream Games since Series A. Netrix, a provider of managed and professional IT services, and a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners, has acquired BTB Security, a cybersecurity and digital forensics solutions specialist. The acquisition strategically expands Netrix’s managed security portfolio and its ability to deliver sophisticated cybersecurity consulting services to small and mid-sized enterprise clients. Accelex, a data acquisition, analytics and reporting solution for private markets investors and asset servicers, has entered into an agreement with European independent private markets asset manager, Golding Capital Partners.  Accelex automates the largely manual process of extracting investment performance data – at both the fund and underlying asset level – from invested fund reports as well as secondary market opportunity documents. Golding Capital Partners has a large, invested fund portfolio and an active secondaries business covering private equity, private debt and infrastructure.
