JPIN Venture Catalysts Ltd (JPIN) has made a strategic investment in The Social Loan Company (TSLC), an AI-driven FinTech, providing bespoke financial products and services.
JPIN is working alongside Rothschild & Co in a recently launched Series B funding round of USD200 million-plus for TSLC, which is seeing significant interest from global institutional investors. This announcement comes after JPIN recently participated in a USD25 million round for TSLC alongside other investors in a consortium led by ADGM-domiciled ARV Investments.
A select set of JPIN’s LPs/global family offices within their proprietary network have also participated along with JPIN in this round.
JMI Equity (JMI), a growth equity firm focused on investing in software companies has led a USD85 million growth investment in ServiceTrade, a provider of software as a service (SaaS) applications for commercial service contractors.
Existing investors Frontier Growth and Bull City Venture Partners also participated in the funding. With the additional capital, ServiceTrade will increase the pace of new product innovations to continue to meet the heightened demand from commercial service contractors.
Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm, HAS finalised a strategic investment of USD500 million in Greystone, a national commercial real estate finance company, acquiring a 40 per cent stake in Greystone’s Agency, FHA and Servicing businesses.
Greystone, a multi-family lender, intends to use the capital to create new product offerings which will position the company for future expansion.
ClearCourse Partnership, a group of innovative technology companies providing market-leading software, services and integrated payments solutions, is to acquire Eworks Manager , a provider of job management software.

Alcidion Group Limited (Alcidion) has signed a binding share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 100 per cent of the issued capital of Silverlink PCS Software Ltd (Silverlink).
The acquisition price for Silverlink is GBP30.0 million (AUD55.5 million) upfront in cash, with a further GBP3.0 million (AUD5.5 million) subject to earn-out based on successful renewal of select customers prior to 31 March 2024.
Concurrently, the Company is raising AUD55 million via a placement, and underwritten accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer to institutional and retail shareholders.
Liontrust has agreed to acquire Majedie for an initial consideration of GBP80 million (including regulatory capital) plus up to GBP40 million for excess NAV and deferred consideration.
Majedie’s institutional fund management team will be joining Liontrust when the acquisition is completed in April 2022. On completion, the team will be renamed the Liontrust Global Fundamental team and continue to be headed by James de Uphaugh.

Global tax software provider Sovos has acquired Germany-based TLI Consulting, a specialist in value-added tax (VAT) determination.
TLI Consulting serves businesses whose transaction and tax determination needs are too complex or costly to configure and maintain via native SAP and in-house tax experts. The company’s software solution extends native SAP VAT determination functionality, and its consultants have the integration and implementation expertise to ensure that SAP ECC or SAP S/4 HANA enterprise resource planning systems can seamlessly determine the right VAT decisions and tax codes for any outbound or inbound transaction.
South Korean video game developer KRAFTON, Inc, maker of the popular battle royale game PUBG, has led a USD11 million Series B Round in Arabic mobile games publisher Tamatem Games.

Private equity manager Keensight Capital is to invest alongside existing management in Buckaroo, an online Payment Service Provider (PSP) based in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Keensight Capital will replace Blackfin Capital as majority shareholder alongside the management team led by Paul Scholten.
