SimCorp, an independent provider of SaaS investment management solutions, has partnered with Domos FS, to provide a complete front-to-back-office investment management offering covering both public and private markets for asset managers, asset owners and service providers.  The partnership has been created in response to the increased use of alternatives in recent years by a wide range of asset managers and asset owners, and the operational challenges this has presented for existing and new investors in these asset classes.  The partnership is further reinforced by SimCorp taking an initial minority stake in Domos FS.
Battery Ventures, a global technology-focused investment firm, has made a USD160 million growth investment in cloud translation technology platform Smartling.  Battery Ventures, which has a long history of backing software-as-a-service (SaaS) and cloud computing companies, identified Smartling as an industry leader based on its comprehensive translation platform, one that uses both the power of AI and machine learning technologies and the intuitive skills of its marketplace of translators.  
Bessemer Venture Partners has led a USD16 million Series A financing round in Rimes, a provider of the Regulatory Information Management (RIM) software for the medtech industry.  Existing investors Allos Ventures, Private Opportunities, and Innovation Works also participated. The company has also appointed two industry veterans, Adam Price and Christine Robertson to its executive team, and that Bessemer Partner Andrew Hedin and Pendo Co-Founder Eric Boduch have joined Rimsys’ board of directors.
Moody’s Corporation has acquired PassFort Limited and entered into an agreement to acquire 360kompany AG (kompany). Both firms are European providers of onboarding and Know Your Customer (KYC) technology solutions.  The acquisition of kompany is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including the expiration or termination of applicable regulatory waiting periods, and will be funded with a combination of cash and shares of Moody’s Corporation common stock. The acquisition of PassFort was funded with cash. 
Private equity firm Tailwind Capital (Tailwind) has completed the sale of Cumming Group (Cumming), a provider of project and cost management consulting services, to New Mountain Capital. Terms of the deal, which will see Tailwind retain an equity stake in the company alongside New Mountain Capital, have not been disclosed .
IK Partners’ (IK) IK Small Cap III Fund has acquired DA Languages Ltd (DAL) from Foresight Group (Foresight), a listed infrastructure and private equity investment manager.  The incumbent management team, led by Managing Director Matthew Taylor, as well as the founder, Actar Arya, will be reinvesting in the business.  Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure investment manager, has completed the acquisition of KIO Networks, Mexico’s largest data centre operator and a digital infrastructure service provider.  The company has a strong regional presence with assets in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean through an extensive network of data centres with over 20 megawatts of installed operational capacity and significant expansion potential.
Gallant Capital Partners (Gallant), a Los Angeles based private equity firm, has made a strategic growth investment in both SJV Data Solutions (SJV) and Wholesale Screening Solutions (WSS), to form an independent provider of people-data to the background screening industry. Gallant’s investment was made in partnership with SJV Founder & Chief Executive Officer Scott Vanek, WSS Founder and President Matt Lowers, and additional sellers and members of management who collectively remain material owners of the combined business.  The new company will be renamed with Vanek and Lowers serving as CEO and President, respectively, of the combined business.
Eldridge, a holding company with a diversified network of businesses across finance, real estate, entertainment and technology, is to acquire a minority interest in Langdon Park Capital, a Black-owned real estate investment company. Eldridge will join global real estate investment company Kennedy Wilson (NYSE: KW), a founding investor in Langdon Park Capital, in supporting Langdon Park Capital’s mission to provide high-quality housing and well-operated business facilities in historically underserved Black and Latino communities across the US.
Tern PLC, ALP and Venafi have led a USD2.9 million funding round in Device Authority, a specialist in identity and access management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT).  The funding will be used to accelerate the revenue growth of the company through expansion within the core markets, most notably the US, whilst accelerating further enhancements to the development of its flagship KeyScaler product.
