Private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has announced that Suzanne Donohoe will join the firm’s global capital and asset management group as managing director and global head of the client and partner group.
Donohoe (pictured), who will be based in New York, had most recently served as the head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management International, based in London, leading activities outside the US with a specific focus on managing client facing professionals and activities across all product lines internationally.
Previously she headed Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s client businesses in North America.
Henry R. Kravis and George R. Roberts, co-founders of KKR, say: "We believe the current economic environment provides us with attractive new opportunities to build stronger relationships with our investment partners. We are delighted to have Suzanne leading our efforts globally to deepen relationships with our existing partners and cultivate new relationships across all of KKR’s products."
Donohoe will work closely with Scott C. Nuttall, who oversees KKR’s global capital and asset management group.
Donohoe was hired by Goldman Sachs in 1992, originally working in the financial institutions and merger businesses within investment banking. She joined GSAM in 1996, and has held a variety of roles in the investment management division.
Some of her prior positions include head of corporate development, chief of staff of IMD, co-head of GSAM Europe, and head of the North America client businesses. She became a managing director and partner of Goldman Sachs in 2000.
