Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management has launched the Kempen North American Private Equity Fund, a new a closed-end investment vehicle with a ten-year term that will focus on small and medium-sized privately owned companies in North America.
The new fund is the firm’s third private equity fund following previous launches of two Europe-fused funds.
Like its predecessors, the fund employs a hybrid structure combining investments in private equity funds with co-investments, which according to a press statement is aimed at building a “well-diversified portfolio while also aiming to shorten the J-curve”.
