Global law firm White & Case has advised Novator on its investment in MoDe, a technology company that provides mobile value added services to mobile network operators in emerging nations.
Novator, an international investment firm, has been established for more than ten years and has a particular emphasis on emerging markets and on special situations.
Novator made its investment by way of a convertible loan which will provide MoDe with the resources to expand its operations beyond the 13 African countries in which it currently operates.
Bruce McInroy, partner at Novator, says: “White & Case fielded an experienced and focused team that complemented the team at Novator and allowed us to execute this complex deal in relatively short order.”
White & Case London partner Ross Allardice says: “Mobile value added services in emerging nations is an exciting area with enormous potential for growth.”
