State Street Corporation has been appointed by Industriens Pensionsforsikring A/S (Industriens Pension) to provide investment analytics services for the fund’s private equity investments.
Industriens Pension is a leading Nordic investor in alternative investments. Across private equity, infrastructure and real estate Industriens Pension has invested in more than 125 private funds. Today’s announcement builds on State Street’s expertise of providing value-added solutions to the world’s leading institutional private equity investors.
“As we expand our alternative investment portfolios, we require a more robust and cost-effective administrative solution,” says Henrik Nøhr Poulsen, head of Equities at Industriens Pension. “Leveraging State Street’s complete investment analytics solution allows us to spend our time analysing the new level of insight and transparency that State Street brings, instead of spending this time collecting and processing data.”
“We are pleased that Industriens Pension has chosen State Street to expand its private equity services,” says Niels Hagemans (pictured), vice president of State Street’s alternative investment solutions team. “As the market and regulatory environments become more challenging, we see an increased demand from European investors to provide additional insight for their alternative investment strategies. Our deep experience in servicing the largest pension funds’ private equity portfolios will help Industriens Pension create additional efficiencies and focus on their growth objectives.”
The partnership with Industriens Pensionsforsikring builds on State Street’s leadership in the alternative investment servicing market. With more than €545 billion in alternative assets under administration as of June 30, 2011, State Street provides a complete suite of fund accounting, fund administration, corporate administration, and risk, analytics and credit services to institutional investors, hedge fund managers, private equity fund managers and real estate fund managers. Its dedicated alternative investment solutions group comprises more than 3,000 employees worldwide. In April 2010, State Street acquired fund administrator Mourant International Fund Administration (MIFA), further expanding its alternative investment servicing footprint in Europe.
