Sustainable infrastructure investor Actis is to sell BTE Renewables to Engie and Meridiam in a deal with an enterprise value of $1 billion. On completion, Engie will acquire the South African portfolio and team while Meridiam will acquire the Kenyan portfolio and team.

Azzura Capital taps JP Morgan’s Italian M&A chief

Gianernesto Bernardi, who joined JP Morgan just two years ago to head up the bank’s M&A activity in the country from Milan, has quit to join Azzurra Capital, a small private equity firm based in Dubai, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

Bridge Growth Partners, LLC, a private equity firm focused on investments in the technology and technology-enabled services sectors, is to sell Accedian, a specialist in performance analytics and end-user experience solutions, to Cisco. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Brown Rudnick has appointed Michael Chung as partner in the firm’s Emerging Growth Companies & Venture Capital practice, based in New York. Chung joins from Fox Rothschild, a US law firm with 29 offices across the country.
