Mid-market private equity firm LDC and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), have agreed the sale of NBS to Byggfakta Group, a data and software provider to the European construction industry headquartered in Sweden and backed by private equity firms Stirling Square Capital Partners and TA Associates.  Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. Chicoa Fish Farm, a Mozambican-based company addressing the critical challenge of a lack of affordable protein in Southern Africa, has closed a Series A equity funding round totalling USD1.5 million from Goodwell Investments. Chicoa Fish Farm was founded by Gerard McCollum and Damien Legros in 2015 with the vision to provide a blueprint for a sustainable aquaculture industry across Africa. Abris CEE Mid-Market III LP fund, managed by Abris Capital Partners (Abris), aprivate equity investor focused on Central Europe, is to acquire 100 per cent of the shares in Scanmed – a Poland-based healthcare network operator – from Life Healthcare Group Holdings Limited (Life Healthcare).  The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021. Icelandic airline software vendor Dohop has raised an undisclosed growth equity round from Scottish Equity Partners (SEP).  With this investment, Dohop will be able to accelerate its plans to transform how airlines and other travel providers enable passengers to build complex itineraries as the global travel industry transforms in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. AMP Capital has originated and closed a significant investment in a junior HoldCo facility secured against Peel Group’s 37.6 per cent stake in Peel Ports, one of the largest port operators in the UK, on behalf of AMP Capital Infrastructure Debt Fund IV (IDF IV). Private equity firm NorthEdge has backed the primary management buyout of Altia-ABM, a specialist investigation and covert operation software business. Nottingham and Glasgow based Altia-ABM develops specialist investigation software for government departments and law enforcement agencies in the UK, Canada and Australia. Gresham House Ventures, a growth equity investor specialised in scaling businesses driven by technology, customer insight or service excellence, and Maven Capital Partners, one of the UK’s most active private equity managers, have invested in growing e-commerce deals business RevLifter. RevLifter operates a sophisticated deals personalisation platform powered by artificial intelligence technology. The business has already acquired high-profile customers in the retail and telecoms space, including Harvey Nichols, Very, Currys PC World, AT&T, BT Broadband and EE. The GBP3.3 million Series A funding round will see Gresham House and Maven each invest GBP1.5 million, alongside a commitment from existing investors.
