A consortium of funds led by CVC Fund VII has agreed to buy the holding company that owns a majority interest in Recordati. Chairman Alberto Recordati says: “Today is an important moment in the further development of the company my grandfather founded over 90 years ago. The EQT VIII fund (EQT VIII) is to acquire SUSE, a global provider of open source infrastructure software for large enterprises, from the global infrastructure software business Micro Focus International plc (Micro Focus) in a USD2.535 billion deal. The transaction is subject to Micro Focus shareholder and customary regulatory approvals.   Founded in 1992, SUSE is the world’s first provider of an enterprise-grade open source Linux operating system. New private equity firm Aretex Capital Partners has closed its first transaction, the acquisition of Alerian, a provider of energy infrastructure indices and market intelligence based in Dallas, which was announced in May 2018. AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets (AXA IM – Real Assets) is to acquire, on behalf of clients, and in a joint venture with Crédit Agricole Assurances and Fluxys, a 35.76 per cent stake in the Dunkirk LNG regasification terminal (Dunkirk LNG) in Northern France. With Fluxys already holding 25 per cent in the facility, the company through the consortium will have ~30.39 per cent in the capital of the terminal while AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets, on behalf of its clients, and Crédit Agricole Assurances each will hold ~15.19 per cent. Natixis Investment Managers has expanded its private debt capabilities with the acquisition of a MV Credit, a European Credit specialist focused on upper mid-cap private debt. The acquisition providing investors with access to a wide range of strategies in private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure. MV Credit will remain fully autonomous while being able to access Natixis Investment Managers’ centralised global distribution capabilities.
