Branding Brand, a mobile commerce platform for major retailers, has secured USD9.5m in series B funding led by existing investor Insight Venture Partners.
The round also includes repeat investment from CrunchFund and Lead Edge Capital, along with new participation from eBay Enterprise. This brings the company’s total funding up to USD17m.
Branding Brand will use the investment to scale sales, marketing, and operations. Since its Series A investment last year, the company experienced 100 per cent year-over-year growth and was recently named to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 500 list.

Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance has provided financing to Lomond Capital, a regional residential letting and property management group, to support the company’s growth strategy.
The senior and subordinated financing package will provide additional firepower to assist Lomond as it continues its “buy and build” strategy, acquiring residential lettings and property management businesses in attractive regional markets.
Lomond is the largest letting agent in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, managing over 5,000 properties, and is also already active in the Manchester market through their most recent acquisitions of Penny Aston and Thornley Groves. Lomond intends to expand its current operations
NewVoiceMedia has secured USD35m in a series C round of funding led by new investor Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) with existing shareholders Highland Capital Partners Europe, Eden Ventures and Notion Capital.
The investment will help fuel the company’s international growth and closely follows the opening of its new regional headquarters in North America and Asia Pacific. The business is growing at more than twice the rate of the rapidly expanding cloud contact centre market, according to industry analyst DMG Consulting, and has doubled its number of staff over the last year to meet increased demand for its technology.
TA Associates has completed a majority investment in Arxan Technologies, a provider of software security solutions.
Terms of the investment have not been disclosed.

IK Investment Partners’ IK2007 Fund has agreed to sell Hansa Metallwerke AG, a Germany-based supplier of sanitary fittings, to Oras Group.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of September 2013.

Riverside Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, has completed its acquisition of a majority equity interest in AMCAD, an enterprise software company dedicated to providing software solutions and services to the public sector including state, county and local governments.
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Based in Herndon, Virginia, AMCAD provides software solutions to the broader government system including courts, jails, prosecutors, probation, parole, county clerks, recorders offices, and other government offices. Brynwood Partners VI’s newly-formed portfolio company Lightlife Foods has acquired Lightlife, one of ConAgra Foods’ smaller brands.
Product lines include vegetarian-based burgers, hotdogs and other meatless frozen and refrigerated items.
The acquisition includes the Lightlife manufacturing operation in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. Terms and conditions of the transaction were not disclosed.
Lightlife Foods will be headquartered in the Boston, MA area and its manufacturing facility will continue to be located in Turners Falls, MA.

Mid-market private equity provider LDC has invested to support the management buyout of Equiom Limited, a provider of fiduciary and administration services.
Headquartered in the Isle of Man, Equiom is a trust and corporate service specialist. The business provides a range of fiduciary, administration and management services across a variety of asset classes to a diverse customer base that incorporates large corporates as well as high net worth individuals.
In addition to its core trustee and company services, which account for 70 per cent of its business, Equiom operates niche business lines including yachting, aviation and e-Gaming.
Hogan Lovells has advised the senior management of Aim Aviation on its secondary buy-out by TowerBrook Capital Partners from existing investor LDC.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete in Q4 2013.
TowerBrook, an investment management firm, has acquired a controlling stake in AIM Aviation from UK mid-market private equity house LDC, for an undisclosed sum. UK-based AIM Aviation designs, engineers and manufactures cabin interiors for the world’s major airlines on Airbus, Boeing and military aircraft.
Hogan Lovells also previously advised the management team on the original buy-out by LDC in 2010.
