Tungsten is to acquire OB10, a business-to-business (B2B) e-invoicing network, for GBP99m.
Tungsten has also signed a five-year rolling licence agreement with @UK PLC to deploy its analytic software technology to enable TungstenAnalytics to be delivered across Tungsten’s global e-invoicing network following the acquisition of OB10.
Tungsten intends, subject to regulatory approval, to acquire an identified duly authorised UK bank, whose assets solely comprise short term UK gilts and/or certificates of deposit to specialise in the provision of supply chain financing. It also intends to seek admission to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange
Delicpol, a Polish confectionery company, has acquired Cuprod, a Polish confectionery manufacturer, with the support of its shareholders AXA Private Equity and Resource Partners.
The transaction has been completed one year after AXA Private Equity and Resource Partners acquired the business, and forms part of the growth strategy for the business set-up alongside the management team.
The merger will provide market consolidation and create a significant player in the European confectionery market.

Private equity firm Banyan Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in MIP Inc.
Banyan is partnering with the company’s chief executive David Arditi and executive vice president of operations Aviyam Friedman, both of whom will carry on in their existing roles with MIP. Co-founder David Schreiner will continue leading the company’s growth into South American markets.
Founded in 1978, MIP is a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance textile and related products to hospitals and long-term care facilities throughout North America, Europe, the UK and South America.

Bradford-based Icelolly is a holiday price comparison provider with the main brand being Icelolly.com. Jarden Corporation is to acquire Yankee Candle Investments from a fund managed by private equity fund Madison Dearborn Partners for approximately USD1.75bn in cash.
The transaction will extend Jarden’s portfolio of consumer brands in niche, seasonal staple categories, while creating opportunities in cross-selling, broadening the global distribution platform, and deepening Jarden’s talent bench.
Upon closing the transaction, Jarden would have pro forma net sales and adjusted EBITDA of approximately USD7.7bn and USD1.0bn, respectively, for the 12 months ended 30 June 2013. Private equity firm Aquiline Capital Partners has completed its previously announced acquisition of Genworth Wealth Management for USD412.5m from Genworth Financial.
The acquisition includes both of Genworth Wealth Management’s businesses: Genworth Financial Wealth Management (GFWM), an investment management and services platform, and Altegris, a provider of liquid alternative investments.
