Ethos Partners has acquired Norwegian Log, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of premium log cabins and buildings. Based in Reading, Norwegian Log designs, manufacture and supply a range of bespoke premium log building products to both private and commercial customers, across a range of end user verticals throughout the UK. The company offers traditional and contemporary ranges that are adapted for a variety of uses, including ‘granny annexes’, garden rooms, log homes and cabins and holiday cabins. The buyout was led by Ed Taylor (Sales Director) and Paul Williams (Contracts Director). The transaction facilitates an exit for the founding shareholders
Newfold Digital (Newfold), a web and commerce technology provider backed by Clearlake Capital Group and Siris Capital Group, is to acquire MarkMonitor, a provider of domain management solutions, from information and insights specialist Clarivate.
Repeats Group (Repeats), a pan-European plastics recycling platform focused on the production of high-quality recycled low-density polyethylene (LDPE) from post-industrial and commercial films, and a portfolio company of Ara Partners, has made an investment in Polimero, a producer of recycled LDPE located in northern Italy.  The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.  Repeats’ investment in Polimero marks its expansion into Italy, an important step in building a pan-European plastics recycling platform. Pharos Capital Group (Pharos), a middle-market private equity firm based in Dallas and Nashville, has made a significant investment in Renal Care 360°, a comprehensive nephrology practice and chronic care management company founded by Joe Cashia.  Renal Care 360° partners with health systems, physician groups and local communities to provide enhanced community healthcare management services with a primary focus on patients in underserved, rural communities.   Pharos’s investment, along with additional equity investment from the Company’s founding shareholders, will be used to support continued growth of the Company’s RC360° Connected Care Program, geographic expansion through acquisitions, and development of value-based
Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity), a provider of high-value research, analytics and business intelligence to the financial services sector, and a portfolio company of Equistone, has acquired Cians Analytics (Cians), a provider of research and analytical support for financial institutions. 
Shareholders of Euromoney Institutional Investor have voted in favour of a bid by Becketts Bidco, a consortium of Luxembourg-based private equity firm Astorg Asset Management and London-based private equity firm Epiris to acquire the business, according to a report by Private Equity Insights. The deal for the London-based global B2B information services business needed that backing of 75% of shareholders for it to go ahead. In the end, 415 scheme shareholders voted in favour while 34 voted against representing a 92% majority, while in the general meeting 66,247,589 shares voted in favour and 7,371,449 voted against, a majority of 90%.
Bain Capital is considering selling human resources software developer Works Human Intelligence Co (Works) for as much as $ 2 billion, according to a report by Bloomberg. The report cites unnamed sources as revealing that the private equity firm is already working with an adviser on the details of a potential deal and has been in touch with potential buyers. It’s reported that Bain is open to either a sale of its full stake in Works or a partial sale. US private equity firm GTCR is considering a £1.3 billion deal to acquire UK-based digital identity specialist GB Group (GBB), according to a report by Private Equity Insights. The report cites a statement by the Chicago-based private investment firm as confirming recent press speculation that it is interested in acquiring GB Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.  The statement also said that, as yet, there is no certainty a formal bid will be made and that further statements will be made ” as and when appropriate”. Foresight Group (Foresight), a listed private equity and infrastructure investment manager, has completed a £3.5 million growth equity investment into Ruleguard, a London based SaaS technology provider supporting financial institution regulatory compliance. Ruleguard was established by founder John O’Dwyer in 2013 as a software development consultancy. O’Dwyer an opportunity in 2015 and developed a software platform to support the newly incoming Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) regulations. LGT Capital Partners (LGT CP) has welcomed US-based investor The Kresge Foundation as a new external co-investor as part of the further build-out of Lumen Re and confirmed the roles of two senior managers in Bermuda.
