Closed Loop Partners has held the final close of its new with over $200 million in total assets less than three years after launch, according to a report by AlternativesWatch.
Brown Foods, an alternative milk creator and Y Combinator startup accelerator graduate, has raised $2.36 million in a seed funding round backed by AgFunder, SRI Capital, Amino Capital, Collaborative Fund, a group of individual angel investors, and Y Combinator, according to a report by AgFunderNews.
Brown Foods’ UnReal Milk product is made using mammalian cell culture technology and is friendly to both animals and the climate, vegetarian, and as nutritious as traditional dairy milk.
The funds from the seed round will be used to further develop the product and to scale up its cell-cultivation process.
Gresham House Ventures, a growth equity investor specialising in software and digitally-driven businesses in the consumer, healthcare and service sectors, has sold its majority stake in Media Business Insight (MBI).
The leading content, insight and events business for the creative media industry was purchased by GlobalData, an AIM-listed data and analytics company in an off-market transaction.
MBI comprises a range of digitally-led brands including Broadcast and Screen International, providing information and intelligence services informing professionals about the British television industry and international movie industry, respectively.

Foresight Group (Foresight), an infrastructure and private equity manager, has acquired the technology ventures division of Downing LLP (Downing) including management of the Venture Capital Trust and Ventures Enterprise Investment Scheme businesses of Downing.
Foresight is expected to acquire the Funds for an initial consideration of £13.6 million. The funds are deployed across venture capital, AIM-quoted investee companies and a small number of legacy asset-backed debt investments.

Qubit Pharmaceuticals, a deeptech company specialising in molecular simulation and modelling using quantum physics, has raised €16.1 million from XAnge, Omnes, Quantonation and Octave Klaba, founder of OVH.
This seed round with investors specialised in Life Sciences and Deep Tech brings the total amount raised since the company’s creation in 2020 to more than €23 million.
