Stockholm-based Digital Therapeutics (DTx) company Alex Therapeutics today announces it has secured EUR3.5 million in a funding round led by European life science venture fund Hadean Ventures and joined by Scale Capital and Bonit Capital.
Alex Therapeutics aspires to become the global go-to partner for pharma, and other life-science companies seeking to develop and launch DTx solutions. These digital health products are validated in clinical trials and prescribed by a doctor, similar to traditional therapeutics. illumifin, a third-party insurance administration and technology provider, has completed its acquisition of LTCG to create one of the largest insurance service providers in the North American long-term care, life, health, and annuity markets.
LTCG’s proprietary long-term care administration solutions and claims capabilities will be integrated with illumifin’s third-party administration and technology platform. This combination will deliver end-to-end digital capabilities driving value to insurance companies.
illumifin was founded by Abry Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, and Hoplon Capital, an asset manager focused on digital disruption, after the acquisition of Concentrix Corporation’s insurance third-party administration and software platform.
Postclick, the company behind the Advertising Conversion Cloud, has raised USD20 million in a funding round led by Bridge Bank’s Technology Banking Group.
Postclick will use the funding to support the company’s evolution from an agency model to a full technology-led SaaS solution that will continually develop new innovations as an advanced partner to the marketing industry. The funds will also advance Postclick’s machine learning and artificial intelligence offerings, as well as deepen the company’s penetration into vertical markets.
Applied Composites Holdings, LLC (Applied Composites), an aerospace, space and defense composites supplier, has acquired The Companies of North Coast, LLC (North Coast or the Company), a manufacturer of Resin Transfer Molded (RTM) composite structures and tooling, from Unitech Holdings, Inc (Unitech).
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
This marks the sixth acquisition by the Applied Composites platform created by AE Industrial Partners, LP (AEI), a private equity firm specialising in aerospace, defense & government services, space, power & utility services, and specialty industrial markets.

Financial services providers Baufi24 Baufinanzierung AG, Hüttig & Rompf AG and Creditweb GmbH are joining forces under the umbrella of the new Bilthouse Group. Nordic Capital, a private equity investor, will become the majority shareholder of Bilthouse.

Biomedical startup Adapttech has raised GBP2.25 million from investors including Mercia Asset Management, ACF Investors, Wren Capital and Wealth Club.
The company also announced the launch of the new INSIGHT Range, a family of products that make it faster and easier to fit lower-limb prostheses and improve patient outcomes.

CoinSmart Financial (CoinSmart), one of Canada’s leading crypto asset trading platforms, has made a strategic investment in NFT cross-bridge marketplace, Curate.
The partnership agreement includes an undisclosed investment from CoinSmart in Curate’s NFT Marketplace, with an option to acquire a majority stake in the company later this year. CoinSmart expects to complete the first tranche of this investment around 30 April, 2022.
Curate is the world’s first blockchain agnostic, gasless, NFT marketplace that serves as a multichain bridge between major chains such as ethereum (ETH), solana (SOL), binance smart chain (BNB), algorand (ALGO), elrond (EGLD), and avalanche (AVAX).
The partnership
Avi Medical, a data-driven healthcare provider, has raised EUR50 million in a Series B funding round led by Balderton Capital.
Existing investors including Berlin-based healthcare fund Heal Capital and New York-based Addition also joined the round, alongside Picus Capital, Vorwerk Ventures, Eurazeo and 3VC.
UiPath founder Daniel Dines and Forward Health Founder Adrian Auon also participated in the round.
The company will use the funding to expand the business from eight to at least 100 clinics across Germany by 2024. At the same time, Avi will continue to develop its technology to improve the experience of both patients and doctors.
Circulate Capital, a Singapore-based investment management firm that finances innovations, companies, and infrastructure to prevent ocean plastic and climate change by advancing the circular economy, has invested in Deluxe Recycling Private Limited (Deluxe) via the Circulate Capital Ocean Fund (CCOF I).
