Leading healthcare investors Avista Capital Partners (Avista Capital) and Nordic Capital are to o sell Acino, a Swiss pharmaceutical company headquartered in Zurich, to ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies with a broad portfolio of major enterprises spanning key sectors of Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy. In partnership, Avista Capital and Nordic Capital acquired Acino in 2013 via a take-private transaction from the Swiss stock exchange (SIX: ACIN). AIM-listed Falanx Group (AIM:FLX), a global intelligence, security and cyber defence provider, has secured a substantial investment that will enable the Reading-based firm to strengthen its core cyber division, in addition to supporting its plans for organic growth. An initial GBP1 million growth loan from the alternative lender BOOST&Co is expected to rise to GBP2.5 million. TPG Real Estate Partners (TREP), the dedicated real estate equity investment platform of alternative asset firm TPG, has signed an agreement to acquire a significant stake in Studio Babelsberg.  TREP will acquire the stake from Studio Babelsberg’s main shareholder, Filmbetriebe Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, which is controlled by Dr Carl L Woebcken and Christoph Fisser, CEO and COO of Studio Babelsberg, respectively. Woebcken and Fisser will maintain ownership in Studio Babelsberg. The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of several closing conditions. As part of the transaction, TREP intends to launch a public tender offer to the shareholders of Studio Babelsberg
THG Ingenuity, the technology division of THG, has invested GBP1.4 million to acquire a minority stake in Civo, cloud native service provider. Civo’s developer-focused Kubernetes platform will strengthen and accelerate development of the technology stack that underpins THG Ingenuity, its cutting-edge proprietary technology platform.   The deal is THG Ingenuity’s first strategic investment since it announced in May 2021 that Softbank Group had invested USD730 million in THG with an option for a further USD1.6 billion investment in THG Ingenuity, THG’s cutting-edge proprietary technology platform.   The funding comes at an important phase of growth for Civo as it creates

Omaze, a social impact fundraising platform that offers the chance to win once-in-a-lifetime prizes to support charities around the world, has secured USD85 million in new capital. 
EGYM, a global fitness technology developer, has received USD41 million in a Series E financing round from Mayfair Equity Partners, a tech and consumer growth investor.  Following the investment, Mayfair Equity Partners will own a minority stake, along with existing investors HPE Growth, Highland Capital Europe, Kreos, and others. Additional financial details have not been disclosed.    Founded in 2010, EGYM offers a range of products that create a digital, connected exercise experience for gyms and their members.
