Clearwater International UK has advised construction services provider and independent trader of aggregates GRS Roadstone Group Limited (GRS), on raising finance to support its acquisition of S Walsh Holdings Limited (Walsh). The funding has been provided by a three bank term loan syndicate, Lloyds Bank, RBS and HSBC, and a three lender receivables finance syndicate comprising Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance, HSBC Invoice Finance and RBSIF.   GRS is the UK’s largest independent supplier of natural and recycled aggregate. SolarWinds, a provider of IT management software, has completed the acquisition of Loggly, Inc, a provider of cloud-based log monitoring and log analytics software. Loggly is an SaaS-based, unified log monitoring and log analytics product, that aggregates, structures, and summarises log data so users can analyse and visualise their data to answer key questions, spot trends, and deliver actionable reports. The acquisition complements the company’s existing portfolio of SaaS-based cloud monitoring solutions and SolarWinds plans to continue investing to innovate and enhance Loggly.   With the acquisition, SolarWinds also will deepen its cloud-software engineering and analytics expertise. Private equity funds managed by Blackstone (Blackstone) have completed the previously announced acquisition of Schenck Process (Schenck), a specialist in measuring and process technology equipment. Blackstone and Schenck have also announced the appointment of Keith Cochrane as Chairman and Harry Kenyon-Slaney as Member of the Advisory Board of Schenck.   Cochrane brings extensive senior and board-level experience to the role. Brookfield Business Partners is to acquire a 75 per cent controlling interest in the Schoeller Allibert Group (Schoeller Allibert), a manufacturer of returnable plastic packaging systems, for EUR205 million.  The stake is being acquired from an indirect subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) (JP Morgan).   Brookfield completed the transaction by partnering with the founding Schoeller family who will continue to hold the remaining 25 per cent interest in the Company through Schoeller Group and expects to be a long-term partner in growing the business. Noerr has advised the airline Condor and its parent company Thomas Cook on the takeover of Air Berlin Aviation. The subsidiary of the insolvent company Air Berlin PLC & Co. KG is currently undergoing the approval procedure for obtaining a flight licence and has already set up the required structures with the necessary postholders.   The purchase of the company fits in with Condor’s plans to expand capacity in the German market due to higher demand.
