Medtronic, a specialist in healthcare technology, is to acquire Affera, Inc, a Boston area-based, privately held medical technology company.
Affera designs and manufactures cardiac mapping and navigation systems and catheter-based cardiac ablation technologies, including a differentiated, focal pulsed field ablation solution, for the treatment of patients with cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats) such as atrial fibrillation (AF). Medtronic, through its minority investment portfolio, has been a strategic investor in Affera and currently holds a 3 per cent ownership stake in the company.

Repeats Group is to build a pan-European plastics recycling platform focused on producing high-quality recycled low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with a EUR100 million equity commitment from Ara Partners, a global private equity firm that specialises in industrial decarbonisation investments.
Repeats utilises a best-in-class mechanical process to transform post-commercial plastic waste into high-quality resin suitable for commercial and industrial applications. The company is scaling LDPE recycling capacity throughout Europe to address the shortage of supply compared to the growing demand required to meet industry sustainability and net zero targets, increasing consumer preferences for low-carbon products and stricter regulatory requirements around decarbonisation.

The Lending Pool managed by Maven 11 on the capital marketplace Maple Finance has reached a volume of USD175 million.
Launched in July 2021, the Lending Pool has issued 35 loans to premier institutional borrowers in the crypto industry, such as Alameda Research, a quantitative trading firm, GSR, a crypto market maker, and digital asset platform Amber Group.

Waterland Private Equity (Waterland) has acquired RUF|Betten and BRUNO, a supplier of premium beds in the German market, from NORD Holding.
RUF and BRUNO’s current management will remain with the companies in their usual function.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022 and is subject to the usual antitrust approval by the German regulatory authorities. No further financial details have been released.

An affiliate of Enterprise Products Partners has acquired Navitas Midstream Partners (Navotas) for USD3.25 billion in an all-cash deal.
Navitas is a portfolio company of funds managed by Warburg Pincus LLC, a leading global growth investor.
Founders R Bruce Northcutt, Bryan Neskora and Jim Wade previously built Copano Energy, LLC into a substantial enterprise at scale before its sale to Kinder Morgan.
Jefferies LLC served as financial advisor to Navitas in connection with the transaction, and Kirkland & Ellis served as legal advisor.
