Clarity helps its enterprise clients increase revenue and reduce cost by discovering hidden trends in the data clients already possess. The company serves clients across a wide variety of industries including financial services, healthcare, media, and manufacturing.
RLH is partnering with Clarity's management team, including CEO Mike Lamble and founders John Papadia and James Urhausen III, to recapitalise the company and further accelerate its growth.

Monroe Capital has funded a senior secured credit facility to support the spin-off of BCC Software from its former parent, Bell and Howell, by private equity sponsor Versa Capital Management.
Based in Rochester, New York and founded over 30 years ago, BCC creates postal software solutions and provides extensive data marketing services.

EFG Fund Services has been appointed as full service provider to Index Ventures’ latest fund Index Ventures VII, a Jersey-domiciled venture capital fund which has raised EUR400m in commitments from international investors.
The fund will make equity and equity-related investments in early stage companies in the technology field.
EFG Fund Services’ relationship with Index Ventures dates back to 2000 and this appointment brings to seven the number of Index funds to which EFG Fund Services has been appointed.

ACCIONA is to partner with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) to consolidate and develop one of the largest operating international renewable energy portfolios in the world.
Under the agreement, KKR will invest in ACCIONA Energía International (AEI), the international renewable energy generation business of ACCIONA Energía, the Spanish multinational’s energy division. KKR is making the investment from its global infrastructure fund.
KKR is acquiring a one-third stake in AEI at a price of EUR417m and will help to fund future growth of the renewables portfolio. ACCIONA Energía will retain the remaining two-thirds of AEI.

The UK Green Investment Bank (GIB) is planning to launch a GBP1 billion fund to acquire equity stakes in operational offshore wind projects in the UK.
GIB is seeking a suitable group of strategic, long-term co-investors to participate in the capital raising exercise.
The fund will be managed by a GIB subsidiary which is currently regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and will be seeking permission from the FCA to become a regulated fund manager.

Private equity house LDC is to exit from UK commercial real estate consultant GVA once its merger with Bilfinger, the EUR8.6bn-turnover global engineering, construction and real estate services group, is finalised.
LDC’s initial investment of GBP40 million for a minority stake in GVA in 2007 supported the company’s growth through acquisition.
The merger will result in LDC, which currently holds a 27.5 per cent stake in GVA, exiting the business following a sustained period of investment that has helped GVA realise its growth plans.

Urban&Civic, a portfolio company of private equity firm GI Partner, has completed its reversal into Terrace Hill Plc and the subsequent relisting on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
GI Partners established Urban&Civic with the management team of Nigel Hugill (chairman) and Robin Butler (managing director) in 2009. The company was set up to acquire strategic land sites in the UK and take these assets through the allocation and planning consent process to deliver large scale residential and employment led developments.

Private equity firm The Riverside Company has acquired Global Orthopaedic Technologies, an Australian manufacturer and distributor of orthopaedic implants.
With two research, design and manufacturing facilities in Bella Vista and Seven Hills in New South Wales, Global supplies implants and instrumentation for hip, knee, shoulder and spine surgeries, along with related orthobiologics.

MyOptique Group, a European online optical retailer, has secured a GBP16 million (EUR20m) additional investment, bringing the total raised in its current Series C funding round to GBP35 million (EUR43m).
The latest investment came from two new investors, Korys and Beringea, manager of the ProVen VCTs, with additional funding from existing investor Cipio Partners and Silicon Valley Bank.
Together with the initial Series C investment round from previous investors Acton Capital Partners, Highland Capital Partners and Index Ventures, the GBP35m (EUR43m) round is one of the five biggest UK technology venture capital investments of 2014.

Private equity firm NorthEdge Capital has invested GBP11.1 million in the management buyout of Utiligroup, a Lancashire-based data management and software services provider.
The management software and services company, based in Chorley, provides data management software and services to the energy sector.
Utiligroup helped a total of 15 new companies to enter the energy market during the last four years, and supplies software and services to 29 of the active UK energy suppliers.
