Macfarlanes has advised private equity house H2 Equity Partners on the carve-out acquisition of Acal BFi for GBP50 million from discoverIE Group.  Acal BFi is a pan-European provider of value-added design solutions, electronic components, and custom products across a broad range of technologies and applications from electric components parent company,     The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval.   The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner, Alex Edmondson with assistance from senior solicitors, Nicholas Page and Tom Trotter and solicitor Bryony Foley. General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, has completed the final close of its sixth flagship fund, GA 2021, at USD7.8 billion, above its initial target of USD5 billion. The fund received commitments from new and existing capital partners, including family offices, endowments, foundations and institutional investors around the world. The firm, which pioneered the growth equity asset class more than four decades ago, now has USD23.8 billion in committed capital and over USD78 billion in assets under management. General Atlantic partners with high-growth, tech-enabled companies globally across its five core sectors: Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology.
DWS has held the final close of its inaugural Private Equity Solutions (PES) fund achieving USD550 million, including discretionary co-investment vehicles, which is in excess of its target and hard-cap of USD500 million and USD525 million respectively. Demonstrating significant demand for its mid-life secondaries strategy, the inaugural fund closed with a global investor base consisting of state pension plans, insurance companies, corporate institutional investors and family offices in North America, Europe and the Middle East. GT Gettaxi Ltd has entered into a business combination agreement with special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Rosecliff Acquisition Corp I (RCLF). Upon closing of the transaction, the combined company, GT Gettaxi ListCo (NASDAQ: GETT), will trade on the NASDAQ Stock Market.

BidX1, a European digital property investment platform, has secured strategic growth investments from doValue, a Servicer in Southern Europe for loan and real estate management services, and Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm. Both acquire minority equity stakes in the Dublin-based PropTech company. Oliver Wyman and doValue will join existing investor Pollen Street Capital (Pollen Street), a London-based private equity firm, and BidX1’s Founder, Stephen McCarthy, as shareholders in the Company. Pollen Street made a strategic investment in BidX1 in 2018 to accelerate the platform’s international expansion. Both Pollen Street and McCarthy maintain majority stakes in the business. The
Kerv, a cloud and digital transformation services provider, has acquired Gyrocom, a network and security integrator with a specialisation in SD-WAN.  In addition to SD-WAN, Kerv’s strategic acquisition brings skills in managed networks and network security, including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), the rapidly emerging cybersecurity solution. Gyrocom will operate as Kerv’s specialist networking and security division.   Gyrocom, headquartered in Surrey, was founded in 2006 by Graham Brown and Ryan Coombes, who had worked together previously at Nortel Networks; fellow director Jane Hamlyn joined the company in 2011.
