Headquartered in Tilburg, Dutch Bakery operates six bakeries across the Netherlands. 3i is investing to drive the company’s international growth strategy in the fragmented European private label market for bake-off products. Apex Group Ltd (Apex), a global financial services provider, has launched a Carbon Footprint Assessment & Reporting service to meet growing market demand.
The new offering helps funds and companies to measure the sources of emissions, implement plans to reduce their carbon footprint and provide a mechanism to offset any residual emissions.
The launch coincides with new global research by Apex which found that 91 per cent of private equity leaders believe that Climate Change is an urgent issue, and 81 per cent agree that they and their portfolio companies should take greater responsibility for their carbon footprint.

Funds affiliated to Lightyear Capital (Lightyear) have agreed to acquire assets from and partner with Schellman & Company (Schellman) in forming a new venture that will set the standard for the delivery of information technology and cybersecurity compliance services.
Going forward, Schellman, a licensed CPA firm, will provide attest services, and Schellman Compliance, LLC, a newly formed entity, will provide non-attest services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Gresham House Energy Storage Fund, a UK fund investing in utility-scale battery energy storage systems, has agreed a new five year GBP180 million debt facility with a syndicate of banks including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Lloyds Bank, NatWest and Santander.
The Facility comprises a GBP150 million capex term facility and a GBP30 million revolving working capital facility. The interest rate is 300bps over SONIA (before hedging). The capex facility also provides for an uncommitted accordion which could increase the total amount borrowed up to GBP380 million over time.
