TPG Real Estate Partners (TREP), the dedicated real estate equity investment platform of alternative asset firm TPG, has signed an agreement to acquire a significant stake in Studio Babelsberg.
TREP will acquire the stake from Studio Babelsberg’s main shareholder, Filmbetriebe Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, which is controlled by Dr Carl L Woebcken and Christoph Fisser, CEO and COO of Studio Babelsberg, respectively. Woebcken and Fisser will maintain ownership in Studio Babelsberg. The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of several closing conditions.
As part of the transaction, TREP intends to launch a public tender offer to the shareholders of Studio Babelsberg
THG Ingenuity, the technology division of THG, has invested GBP1.4 million to acquire a minority stake in Civo, cloud native service provider.
Civo’s developer-focused Kubernetes platform will strengthen and accelerate development of the technology stack that underpins THG Ingenuity, its cutting-edge proprietary technology platform.
The deal is THG Ingenuity’s first strategic investment since it announced in May 2021 that Softbank Group had invested USD730 million in THG with an option for a further USD1.6 billion investment in THG Ingenuity, THG’s cutting-edge proprietary technology platform.

Santé Ventures (Santé), an early-stage healthcare and life sciences investment firm, has held the final close of its oversubscribed Fund IV at USD260 million.
Consistent with Santé’s industry focus, expertise, and previous success, the new fund will make strategic investments across early-stage Biotech, Healthtech, and Medtech companies.
Fund IV secured capital commitments from more than two-dozen limited partners, including the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) and new institutional investors in Asia and Latin America.
