Macfarlanes has advised on the launch of the Regnan Sustainable Water and Waste fund, the second of the group’s UK ESG integrated funds.
Regnan is a responsible investment business division within J O Hambro’s Australian parent, Pendal Group. In the UK, Regnan represents the distinct business line of J O Hambro which focuses on sustainable and impact investing.
The fund focuses on investing in companies which provide solutions to global water and/or waste related challenges such as those involved in water production, treatment, conditioning and desalination as well as waste collection, transporting, sorting, and recycling.

JTC, a global professional services business, has acquired Segue Partners (Segue), a fund services provider head-quartered in St Louis, Missouri, USA.
The initial consideration will be settled in cash and JTC equity. A further consideration is available on the achievement of performance targets in 2022 and 2023.

Sagewind Capital (Sagewind), a New York-based private equity firm, has invested in Federal Advisory Partners, a strategy consulting firm serving public and private sector organisations, and the federal healthcare market.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Kidderminster-based skin care supplier Essentially Yours has secured GBP200,000 from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) West Midlands Debt Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven), backed by the Coronavirus Business Interruption Scheme Loan (CBILS).

Foresight Group (Foresight), a listed infrastructure and private equity manager group, has held the final close of Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners (FEIP), a sustainability-led energy transition infrastructure fund investing predominantly in Europe.
FEIP has secured total commitments of EUR851.4 million, 70 per cent over the EUR500 million original target. The fund welcomed attracted additional commitments of EUR64 million from existing limited partners and an Italian institutional investor at final close.

Flexpoint Ford, a private equity investment firm specialising in the financial services and healthcare industries, has held the final closing of its second asset investment fund, Flexpoint Asset Opportunity Fund II, (Asset Fund II), at USD825 million.
Asset Fund II will build on the strategy established in the predecessor fund, Flexpoint Special Assets Fund, LP (Asset Fund I), leveraging the firm’s focus and expertise in financial services private equity to invest in opportunistic asset-driven investments across financial services sub-sectors and assets. Asset Fund II will seek to construct a portfolio of diversified financial assets and structured investments.

The investment enables Martlet Capital to complete the acquisition of a portfolio of 50-plus minority positions from Marshall Group, including companies in life science, healthcare, cleantech sustainability, industrial and semi-conductor technology.
