Pemberton, a European private debt manager transforming traditional credit markets, backed by one of Europe’s largest insurers, Legal & General Group, has arranged and underwritten a EUR265 million bond to support circular economy and recycling leader ReLife Group’s growth via acquisitions.
ReLife is a leading private Italian circular economy player focused on recycling of urban and industrial dry waste. Xenon Private Equity is its largest shareholder. The company’s 18 production sites are located in Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Tuscany, with activities organised into four divisions: recycling, paper mill, paper packaging and plastic packaging.

OTB Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology businesses with R&D in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and global potential, has launched the new OTB Growth Fund I.
The fund, totalling USD60 million, provides OTB Ventures with the capabilities to support its successful portfolio companies with additional follow-on investments as they scale-up to pursue and accelerate international growth opportunities. The fund is backed by the ESCALAR programme of the European Commission and the European Investment Fund (EIF), a new investment approach supporting venture capital and growth financing for promising European companies.

ISA Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage immunotherapy company, has closed a EUR26 million funding round with participation from new investors including Invest-NL and existing investors including Regeneron.
The proceeds of this round will be used to advance the lead product ISA101b towards first marketing authorisation as well as to broaden the clinical pipeline of immunotherapies based on the Synthetic Long Peptide (SLP) platform technology.

Kempen Capital Management (Kempen) is to launch the Kempen European Private Equity Fund II, which will focus on small and medium-sized private enterprises in Northern and Western Europe with an enterprise value of up to EUR100 million.

Golub Capital has reported record originations in the second quarter of 2021, signing up over USD9 billion in retained and syndicated commitments and completing over 95 new and add-on transactions.
Originations in the quarter were 30 per cent higher than the fourth quarter of 2020, the Firm’s previous record quarter.
