Global private equity firm, CVC Capital Partners’ (CVC) Fund VIII has acquired a majority stake in Aleph, a partner to the world’s biggest digital media players. Cohere Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm focused on investing in tech-enabled middle market companies, has made a strategic growth investment in Kentucky-based Promevo, a provider of IT services, solutions, and software focused on Google Workspace, Chrome, and Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.  As a Premier Google Partner, Promevo offers its clients resale, services, and solutions leveraging its proprietary management software product, gPanel. gPanel is a comprehensive management and reporting software solution which helps clients manage users, documents, reporting, automation, and security in an easy-to-use interface specifically built for Google Workspace. medifa healthcare group (medifa), an owner-run one-stop-shop provider of medical technology for operating rooms, has been acquired by a consortium led by Hohnhaus & Jansenberger and Cathay Capital Private Equity through its Small Cap strategy.  The transaction includes a full recapitalisation of the Company’s balance sheet.   Christian Keller, CEO of medifa, rolled his stake in the Company and remains a significant shareholder. Arborea – which is industrialising photosynthesis to expand the world’s food supply – has completed a funding round led by BGF, alongside Rubio Impact Venturesand Volta Circle. Tide, the UK’s leading business financial platform, has received just over USD100 million in Series C funding, bringing the company’s total raised to date to USD200 million. Tide is now valued at over USD650 million post-money, after only four years of operation.  The round was led by funds advised by Apax Digital, the growth equity team of Apax Partners. Anthemis, Augmentum, Jigsaw, Local Globe/Latitude, SBI, and SpeedInvest, existing investors, also participated in the round.   Tide has experienced rapid and sustained growth since launching in 2017, with 2020 seeing the business more than double its user base in the UK.
MRH Trowe an owner managed commercial lines insurance broker in Germany and a portfolio company of tech-focused mid-market private equity investor AnaCap Financial Partners, has successfully completed four bolt-on acquisitions in quick succession, following three earlier this year.
