Mid-market private equity firm LDC has made a significant investment in Leeds-based Global Autocare (Global) to support its ambitious organic growth strategy.
The transaction will see LDC take a significant minority stake in the business, backing the existing management team.

genesis, an international capital markets software firm has held the closing of its second capital raise, securing USD1.8 million of investment in a round that was led by Illuminate Financial Management, a UK-based capital markets venture capital firm and Tribeca Early Stage Partners, a New York venture group.
genesis has now raised USD5 million since its first external capital injection in November 2018.
The new funding will be invested in further development of genesis platform’s core technology, sales and marketing to cement genesis’ position as the ‘low-code’ platform for capital markets software development.

Värde Partners, a global alternative investment firm, has raised its 13th flagship vehicle, Värde Fund XIII, with USD2.47 billion in commitments.

SSE Renewables is to expand its onshore wind pipeline through the acquisition of a 29-turbine, shovel-ready consented wind farm development in Ireland with an installed capacity in excess of 100MW, subject to final turbine selection. SSE Renewables has acquired the Yellow River Wind Farm project outside Rhode in County Offaly from Green Wind Energy (Wexford) Ltd. The project was granted full planning consent in 2014.

Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.

Sun Life Financial is to acquire a majority stake in InfraRed Capital Partners (InfraRed), a global infrastructure and real estate investment manager. InfraRed advises institutional and pooled fund clients on approximately USD12 billion (CAD16 billion) in assets under management as of September 30, 2019. InfraRed is headquartered in London, UK and has more than 175 partners and staff.
InfraRed will form part of SLC Management, Sun Life’s alternatives asset management business. The acquisition is integral to Sun Life’s strategy of broadening its asset management pillar by extending the capabilities of SLC Management to the benefit of existing and prospective clients.
